But how many times do you go that hard off-road you need a jeep for. Probably 0.5% of all the time. Buying a Jeep is for 99% of the owners show and no go. MPV or SUV with AWD will do the job for most for less money.

How much of a difference did the sound deadening / heat insulation make? I have a YJ and I've been thinking about maybe doing it to mine sometime in the future. I have a soft top so any little bit counts hehe

It helps a decent amount. My jeep/ all jeeps are going to be pretty loud no matter what you do. But I can tell a noticeable difference. I am interested to see how it does in the winter,.

I’ve often told my wife that if I were to do an outdoor KZbin channel, I would model it after yours Drew. Phenomenal footage with the drone as always and I’m really digging the new set up with the Jeep! I’ve always found your videos to be inspirational yet, extremely relaxing. Throw some plumbers tape on the threads for your water spigot. It’ll keep the drips from happening and your water pump from priming all the time.

Drew, another option instead of cutting a whole in that cutting board for the propane tank would be to add a short length of hose and a hook to hang the tank below the table.

Ok, you are the person I need to ask. You say that there's no where you can't get to with the 33s. I'm gonna buy a Jeep JLU Rubicon and because of wanting to be able to go anywhere I wanna go, I wanted to get the Xtreme Recon package (it comes with 35s, 4.56 gears and the upgraded hinge gate out of the factory). I'm a bit skeptical about if I really need 35s. It's a $4000 package, but from what you're saying it sounds like I would be able to get everywhere I wanna go on 33s. Should I save $4000 and not get all that? People say the mpg will not be worse but I think carrying those larger tires has to take more power which would make the mpg worse.

Question! First of all, drew, great vid as always. Thank you for the awesome and beautiful content. So- as a jeep camper myself (made my own set up, might post a video, not sure!) I find it EXTREMELY hard to find secluded car camping spots. Maybe it’s the region I’m in (south East), but I can’t find good spots. I’ve tried every app: the dyrt, usfs and blmgc… everything! I am aware I’m probably missing some trade secrets, but does anyone on here have a some tips on great views without the annoyance of public “campgrounds”… I’m talking no running water or bathrooms, something primitive but car accessible. Thank you to any one who read this whole thing 😅

i love your set up, just curious about how you attach your tent to your rhino rack. i didnt see the cross bar on your rack, so how you attach the tent to your rhino rack? I have skycamp 2.0 on my rhino rack, it is so unconvenient to using the locking latch, i may switch to 3.0 as well, just not sure which way to mount it to the rhino rack is most appropriate.

I’ve wanted a jeep since I was a child and your channel helped tip me over the edge. I’m 2 months in and I’m the happiest I’ve been in years. My little girl and wife love the jeep life so much it has been great for all of us. This weekend while out in the country I let my little girl sit on my lap and steer for the first time and I think she’s told everyone she’s come across that she “drove a jeep!” Lol. Nice upgraded hard top adds 5 inches i do like snorkels but not the style you have , i own 2005 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon build up very nicely not sure if i ever buy a new model nothing like a simple jeep very easy to work on but this what make jeep lover love jeep there a model for anyone old to new only thing from my build im very heavy even with my supercharger my gas mileage horrible geared to 488 sitting on 35x12.50x18 most people talk about how weight can be hard on components factory dry wt 3800 gross wt 4600 my wt 5800 she heavy im happy with the 4.0 bullet proof motor 6 speed manual, i get tons of compliments its an mid 2000 build you don't see anymore 😊
