I'm pretty excited to watch this build. I'm currently still in the middle of my first build but I already have a boat waiting for my second build. My second boat is like a carbon copy of this one, right down to the weird dried out goop on the rivets.

I'm sold I hit the sub. I thought about decking out a 14 ft I'm buying this week and there's so much good stuff out there I've been watching all the Jon boat to bass boat stiff out there I'm not going crazy with mine just a simple build but I want it to look good

Use a bed liner/raptor liner product and weld in supports to the transom us aussies don’t have wood transom all alloy transom in our boats

I built a 12 footer and put a 15 hp on it. 27 mph! Just be careful where you put the weight. I started with the batteries in the front but with just me in it there was way to much weight up there. Can’t wait to see it! Maybe paint it red and black and call it the bulldog

Yeah man this thing is sketchy and I want to do my best to make it balanced and as stable as can be. 27 is ripping! I'm hoping to get high teens or break into the 20s w my 8hp. With the first boat build fully finished I get 14mph.

Black and yellow, Stinger... how about a removable, self-contained, live well? Self-contained pumps and plumbing, with quick connect hose fittings and wiring. I'm going to do mine with an electrical plugin and the supply and return hoses will be thrown over the side, but I'm just a simple catfisheman, you'll need something more fancy I'm sure. I don't need a live well 95% of the time... I'm usually just fishing for fun.

looks like some epoxy on some rivets from a while ago to seal them, when you reseal the seems / rivits (if u need to) i used gluvit and it works reaaaalllly good . loved the flying tiger shark face on your other boat if you do somthiong similar on this boat i bet itl be good

Yeah I'm thinking of using Wetlander or Fasco Super Slick 2000 , we will see. Also, it might just have shark teeth again but completely different colors.

Just Subbed to your channel because I just bought an 11-1/2 foot, maybe 12 foot, aluminum Jon Boat that I’m going to restore. It doesn’t leak, but needs new seats (would like to make new mounting holes and not use the existing ones). Problem is that the “bench seating” doesn’t have access underneath it. I’m going to be transporting in the bed of my Ram 1500 4x4 as well and will be using my Minnkota C2 Endura (45lb thrust) to move it around on the water.
