Hope my legs and buttocks don't fall asleep in the interim. LOL. Your work and attention to detail is over the top and I really enjoy seeing your creativity and strong work ethics. You two are such a joy to watch and I could watch you for hours on end. Hope you have a great two weeks and accomplish all you have on your to do list for the kitchen. I think I like runners better than carpet, they do pretty much the same thing as carpet plus they are easier to install and easier to remove if you don't like them. Love your black patio door. I am wondering where you got the idea to paint it that color. Maybe from the thousands of viewers you have, no that can't be it can it. LOL.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the kitchen. It's modern and yet it's got characterful elegance. And you know mama loves a cup handle! The refurbished light over the hob looks fantastic. I would go for carpet on the stairs - much easier to maintain and dust collects at the sides and really shows when it's just a runner. It's a cleaner look overall and will keep the landing warm. (But what do I know? 🤷‍♀I went for sage green back doors, but I was clearly in the minority!!) Big shout out to Julie with her professional advice to Harri about his cut finger. Hope it's healing well. Can't wait for the next video in two weeks 😁

Unless you're going super dark stain or paint on those stairs, do full carpet or you'll get fully fed up of trying to keep the edges clean and dust free

Looking great so far although I'm wondering if you overlooked an extractor for the hob to deal with a lot of the steam and other things rising from the pots and pans while cooking? You can get some pretty cool flat okes that mount into the worktop and pop up when you need to use them...

Hey Nathan, luckily we did think of this and got a kitchen grade fan in the wall (to replace the old one they had there!). It really pumps out the cooking smells and saved us a lot of money getting a fancier one- although they do look snazzy as hell! 🤗

First time watching so idk you guys preferences but maybe some light govee led strips with black diffusers you can spray paint the metal diffusers black and heavy duty double sided tape underneath your kitchen drawer and can control it with a phone app and maybe Alexa if you dabble within that

We've been following along as we renovate our home. We chose DIY kitchens after seeing your experience, we are very happy with the quality of the kitchen however many of our units arrived damaged :-( which they have replaced but it was over a third that were damaged which has then slowed fitting progress. They also damaged our new floor during delivery and have said they will only compensate if we provide CCTV (who has CCTV in their house!?) So we are quite disappointed considering we went to Wren, Howdens and Homebase but decided on DIY after hearing and seeing yours and our friends experience :-(.

Nice work but! No ventilator over the Cook top?! That Will make a lot of smoke.. You can still save it with a Cook top with a built in unit and send the smoke out under the cabinets and out of the house

The extractor fan is just to the right of the hob! Less than a metre away! It was the same one from the original kitchen and so far seems to be working well!

It actually wasn’t a high enough mantle to really justify putting it under there. Would also be anti-social when hosting people as you would be facing away from them when cooking!
