I love the new lever door handle it feels more modern but also traditional. The new hardware on the cabinets is perfect. And I still just love the Floret Flooring the color, style it all goes with the modern traditional design you have going.

I love that you’re so crafty and handy and it shows it’s really not that hard as it may seem. The knobs. Yuh were showing for your kitchen looked really nice. And my doorknob is actually similar one day I came home from work and couldn’t get into my bedroom had to call my dad to break it open bc there was no way of getting in but it ducks now I don’t have a lock on my doorz. I love how you’re not afraid to tackle just about any home improvement project!! I did the same thing when I bought my house and I’m so happy I chose an older home that was very structurally sound but a little outdated because I loved doing all those projects myself! I have several more projects I want to do but my health has slowed me down quite a bit this year. I love your kitchen hardware! I also like both handles and knobs for the doors so what about taking the same approach as you did in the kitchen and put handles on the bedroom, bathroom and entry doors but leave the round knobs on closet doors and any other doors? You can always replace the round ones later but it might look better with both.

I just had a gap I had to close in my LVP as well. Instead of tapping the rubber mallet on the flooring itself - use suction cups with a handle (the ones used to carry glass windows). I got mine for $13 off amazon. You then tap the long handle instead of the floor and it slides the floor into place. Also, I have a mallet that is white on one side and black on one side so I always use the white side when I don't want to leave a mark. You sound like me - I am the one that does all the research to fix something and then my husband comes home and is wowed when he doesn't have to fix it or we don't have to call someone in!!!! Great job and the kitchen looks beautiful!!!!!

Love the cabinet pulls and handles - so much so you should add at least the knobs to your coffee bar, pantry and laundry doors!!! Thought you were nuts to replace the door handles BUT that sleek look - is amazing and worth it!!! You have done so much and all great touches!! Good for you and Derek fixing your own floors!!!! Love the kitchen hardware, looks so nice! And regarding the doorknobs, it's a constant "discussion" in this house. I like the round ones and my hubby likes the long handles. We have the long handle ones know in chrome and I want to replace them with the black round but we can't agree. I think both look good with the style of your home so you can go with either.

I love the kitchen hardware. I want to change all mine out. I only have knobs. No handles. I like the handle instead of the knobs. We need those too. My husband isn’t going to be happy when I tell him I want to change everything. Some of our doorknobs are going to break soon anyway. We keep our trash in our laundry room. And that knob has always been hard to open. That will be the first one to change.

You might find that the knobs are at a height where belt loops and pockets get caught on them.

It was an awful experience. There really should be something put into place to protect customers from scam business like that. Unfortunately courts tend to side with contractors & trades companies, as long as they do the work they have to get paid…court needs to see the job done, not necessarily WELL done. We looked into it but it wasn’t worth trying to take them to court or fight for reduced compensation, just had to take the loss. 😭
