When making or repairing a microphone, several capsules should be purchased at once, since marriage is often found. On average, one of the five capsules may have the worst parameters for frequency response and noise. This is especially important if you are going to make a stereo microphone.

It is difficult to answer unequivocally the question to which thick books on audio technology are devoted. But if you get a good pop microphone and a professional audio card, then you will get high-quality sound. A good microphone, first of all, is characterized by a linear amplitude-frequency response and a high signal-to-noise ratio. To minimize the hum level, microphones use shielded twisted pair and an amplifier with a symmetrical input. But if you have absolute hearing, then you can try to adjust the amplitude-frequency response programmatically. However, the result will not be perfect. This is about the same as taking a photo or video using a household LED light. That's exactly what I do, which is why I have such a weird picture. :)
