"Camera man "has nails just like my hubby. Wouldn't know the difference if we put them side by side. Hubby likes his super super short and soft enough to not catch on anything. So I do everything you do plus I buff the free edge so it's a tad thinner. His nails grow so fast I have to do this at least once a week.

Gloria paschal please don’t. I used to be a rabid nailbiter. In fact I even did my toenails when there was absolutely nothing left to bite off on my fingers (I’d bite the nails so far down that I made my fingers bleed). It was terrible and uncontrollable, and my fingers were always in my mouth, and I used to pick on and bite off the surrounding skin too. I did this so much that my nails were so thin and so soft from the constant biting; layers of nail even started to peel from the cuticle end of my nails - I actually had holes in my nails going all the way down to the nail bed on some fingers! It was horrible. You really can’t imagine how much you can destroy them. Have you ever considered trying to have acrylic or gel put on your nails; because that would make it much harder for you to bite your nails. I didn’t have that luxury when I was biting them many, many decades ago.
