I am trying to do this dress which looks like it's going to be a beauty, however I am quite confuse with the first rectangle. In the video, its length is clearly not 3/2 of its width ( since the length is supposed to be 60cm and the width, 40 cm). I tried following the measurements even though it seemed weird but when I have to put the two pieces together, it's impossible for the width to be 40 cm. Something is not adding up. Could you help me ?

I looked closely when you were measuring. Turns out you initial rectangle was not 60 x 40 cm but 60 x 30 cm. That explains why when you fold it in half you had a square and not a rectangle and why you can get 40 cm when you put the two pieces together.

For M size, you need to increase my measurement (at bust, waist and hip size) around 6-8cm

Seam allowance is the space of fabric you need to have when cutting to sew later. If not, the actual size of your clothe will be smaller than you want
