Here's another one that I've been working on for awhile now that I'm really excited to share! There are a lot of components that go into this and everything with my finger caused issues initially. I hope you all enjoy the build and have a great weekend! Let me know what you think of it.

The spoon slowly entering the cylinder was so comical 😂 it brought to mind a very specific scene from the Big Bang theory, when the guys are fighting over a LOTR ring and pennys wearing it on her neck, and Sheldon creeps into the bedroom at night with the long pincher thing to steal it. Hopefully I’m not the only one here haha. Great build as always tanner!

Your videos inspired me to create my first closed terrarium! I have the worst time trying to keep plants alive so I’m hoping this will be a good way. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

I seen the start of this and thought "Tannerrs efforts are slipping". But it turned out fantastic. What a piece. Kind of makes me think what is would look like larger scale with inhabitants. Greta Job, Very creative.

I love this build so much. I honestly was surprised when you showed the container due to how small it was. From the thumbnail it looked a lot bigger, because you really were able to add a lot of detail to it. Great job!

INCREDIBLE. I have so many aquarium ideas, but if it involves cutting glass I am paralyzed to even start. It just scares me so much! Acrylic: no problem. But glass, ugh, it's like a phobia for me.

This might be my alltime favorite build of yours. It's small, but it does pack huge amounts of character.

hurricane lampshades have a lot of potential for builds. You can use them for stacking builds, with a conventional jar on the bottom, and a hurricane lamp on top for more space, while sharing an airspace. The 'mushroom' shape design is particularly useful, as they bulge out in the middle in a way that can be used as a platform for additional planting. im personally in the middle of a stacked paludarium using this approach, and its going really well. only hurdle is finding a way to get the 2 pieces to fit snugly (airt8ight) while being removable for maintenance.

Gosh I wish I had your talent! Any time I scape out my terrariums or my fish tank I'm like "this will look amazing!" Then the after result I'm like "eh, it works I guess" lol. Practice makes perfect I guess lol I'm still learning!

Everything's perfect! Only additional thing I would add is a diffuser to the ligh system to avoid the reflective dots. Maybe use the frosted vinyl film over the LEDs
@lindacsmith132 жыл бұрын
That def ranks up there with one of my favorites that you've done. I wouldn't have thought about lowering the water feature until you mentioned it. I think it would have looked good a few inches lower. But, it's still right up there!
@TheDutchFighters2 жыл бұрын
Adding an airstone connected to airpump in the overflow for a waterfall will make the water look rough and more like a big waterfall. I think you could make something awesome with this feature. Maybe an idea for a future build?
@CrossCultural-c7f2 жыл бұрын
Neat design with the cylindrical glass hurricane. Dunno if people looking at this build in real life would see it, but with the camera angles you used to show this build, I could see the reflection of each individual LED bulb. I found that reflection detracted my enjoyment of this lovely scape… maybe a parchment paper diffuser to get rid of the LED bulb reflection?

Love it! If you want to highlight the floating aspect more, consider tucking a short strip of lights behind the tube on the bottom. It would appear as if the light is coming through the back from above, and highlight the space underneath.

Pro tip when cross-cutting the grain of oak or any hard wood cover the wood with painters tape first and it will keep the wood from chipping or shredding. Leaves a clean cut.

I love it! I do agree with you that maybe it could have been a little lower, but overall I think it’s really beautiful! I do wish that you could have added a couple tiny tiny fish or shrimp, but that’s the only thing that I would change.

Gets me every time you put things in there 😅 reminds me of the episode if friends where chandler lies in that box and can't talk to prove himself to joey and when that girl leaves he puts his fingers through the hole in the box to say bye 🤣 amazing work as always man

Love the concept on this one Tanner. I do agree with you, putting it lower would have made a better visual look at the structure of this build. But that being said, it is a great creation! Can you get a rubber grommet for the size hole you drilled?

Although you've done so many impressive, creative and careful builds, this may be my favorite because I can imagine that lower shelf area being a gallery space for loved items, bringing things in and out of the space while the living, growing space above is always changing as well. The contrast and capacity for creative changes make this a very inspirational starting point for so many different combinations and possibilities. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work, and (in your more recent video) for speaking about how things are going for you lately - very relatable.
