I made your fireplace with some alterations, but true to your tutorial for the most part. Friends couldn't figure out how I made the bricks look so real!! Perfect in my dollhouse! Thank you so much!

The fireplace looks awesome. The little cork bricks look great, the only thing that would make them look better, is if you could get them to wrap around the corners, so they look even more like real bricks. I'd also like to see a video on how to make the gold picture frame. Great video 👍

Dear Cath, I absolutely LOVE this fireplace you made. Your attention to detail makes it look real, and - as the old saying goes - God is in the details. I've got some foam board and sheets of thin cork so I'm going to try to make one myself. I'm making a Christmas Shadow Box at the moment and I want to put a small fireplace with a mantelpiece inside it. The box I'm using measures: 26.5cm × 26.5cm square and it's one of those cookie boxes with the clear acetate "window" on the front of it so you can see what's inside it. The window measures: 21cm square so there's a "frame" of cardboard around the acetate window. I'll have to make the fireplace a bit taller so it can be seen from the outside, or I could glue strips of foam board to the base of the box so that it has a higher 'floor.' The box is a bit flimsy anyway so I need to make it stronger, somehow! What do you think Cath? Could you give me some advice? Thank you so much for this brilliant video tutorial. Love from Amanda Jones in Australia ❤

I'm definitely going to make a couple of these, one for a Bingo prize & one for a mini milk crate...perfect size!! Going to stack some & put outside my door as decoration for the holidays. I'm also going to try & make one by tripling everything, so I can have a "fireplace" for Christmas decor inside.

Can you please do a whole DIY Doll house from scratch using pieces you've already made yourself and just show us how you'd put the whole thing together? I want to recreate my house but I need your guidance lol. I think your DIY stuff is better than the dollhouse packs so I want to know how you'd make your own doll house from scratch, I'm not sure if this makes sense.

The 2 boards at bottom front, you said to cut at 4.5” x 3/4”. But the 2 little side pieces you say are 1”x 1”. And the fireplace hole is 1” from floor. Was the 3/4” measurement for two bottom front boards supposed to be 4.5” x 1” instead?
