DIY Muffler Delete On My Turbo M50 E30

I've wanted to do this since before the engine blew up and I'm so glad I got it done! This setup is so much better than what I previously had on the car. The exhaust now consists of full 3" turbo back into an ultra quiet Vibrant resonator then into a blast pipe.

That zip tie trick is one I will remember, that looks way more easy then tape, sharpee or anything else.

You can use stiff paper like construction paper and warp that around. It lines up very well.

Ha! Had the same exhaust tip on my e30 back when I had 2.5" exhaust as well! In my experience, the v-band clamp is by far the weakest part of the setup. I treat them as limited use and try to replace them after they've been removed a few times.
