DIY Overland |Tiny House | RAM 5500 Box Truck Expedition Vehicle: Part 10 Won't Rain on Our Parade!!

Part 10 of our EarthRoamer on a budget build series. We transform this empty box into a homey but very off-road capable overlanding & expedition vehicle in TWO months! We started with a RAM 5500 chassis cab then had a 14ft Morgan box mounted on the back with intentions to make this our next adventure home on wheels. In this episode, we venture down off the mountain and spend a day in Phoenix to get a much needed upgrade for storage solution. Jen takes on a project of her own to finish our butcher block counter top for the kitchen galley. And then we battle some unexpected inclement weather the same day we decide to cut in our final two ‪@thearctictern9323‬ windows! It might slow us down a bit, but we somehow manage to get the job done.

I truly appreciate your caution with installing the windows and doors. I installed windows, sun roofs and roof vents on 2 dodge vans i previously owned. Man that first cut is really scary. Basically I did it much the same as you did. Sure was great to have help. Looking forward to see your adventures when its complete.

The wood whisperer just posted a video about his recommended food safe finish for butcher block and he chose Tung Oil but no finish on top. He did some fairly scientific testing and you may want to watch it. Keep up the great vids!

Thanks for that! We almost left it unfinished with just the tung oil but needed to it be non-porous given the conditions under which we are using it!
