Awesome vid, I’ve used 550 cord weaves to silence gear, build gun slings, etc…just recently saw the sling a ling, but that is a steep price. I found this vid looking for reviews haha. Will be making one this offseason, thanks!

Thanks. Yeah, i feel like the price that some charge is a bit steep and feel like it's pretty easy to do yourself. I'm glad it helps and good luck. Thanks for watching.

Nice looking sling. Always gratifying to make something yourself. I used the cobra weave on my aiders👍
@j.r.outdoors2472 жыл бұрын
Right on. I just did a 3 chord braid for my aiders. Mainly because i was lazy. But the cobra weave is pretty easy once you get it down.

I attach a carabineer to each end of the sling and clip it to the cam I personally think it's easier compared to keeping it on the bow while I'm shooting it. While I'm hunting I clip the sling to the stand so it doesn't fall.

I agree. I ended up modifying it and added a couple small disconnects to it so i can take it off. Thanks for watching.

Maybe I missed it. How much cord did you leave for the top loop and for the bottom diamond knot?
@j.r.outdoors2472 жыл бұрын
I left a 6-8 loop at one end to loop through the riser. Then left about a 1 1/2"-2 loop on the other end to loop the diamond knot through.

At the 2:45 mark in the video, i talk about the core length. I made the loop length 40 inches- so about 8 feet for the core. Then at the 4:00 mark in the video i talk about the outer weave. You will need 5 feet of each color for every 1 foot of sling length (about 15 feet of each color). Hopefully this helps and thanks for watching.

How did you make the magnet bolt on riser portion?
@j.r.outdoors247 Жыл бұрын
I had a hole in my riser in that area. The magnet already had a hole in it so i ran a bolt through it and put a large washer and nut on the back side of the riser.

@@j.r.outdoors247 exactly best to copy someone for a third of the price than to make someone else rich!! Where can you find the magnets used for doing those?
