DIY Pine Cleaner Finished

Great idea for the weeds! We have three very large pine trees and we started making wax dipped fire starters for gifts. Now I’ll do some pine cleaner too.

One of the things I worried about with making homemade pine cleaners is that it would leave a sticky residue. Our pine tree needles are just so sticky. I have been following this because it’s good to know that the vinegar i guess after a few weeks, takes care of it. Thank you.

I'm glad you reminded me about how acidic vinegar is. I use it to clean out my teens guinea pig house. I just need to remember to use more water with it.

I’m making a citrus cleaner right now. It’s got a week or so to go. I wanted to do pine also but the snow is to deep for me. Try it this spring.

Thank you for all your knowledge and help. QUESTION: I made your Apple Cider Vinager and currently have the Pine going. I got a Steam Juicer for a gift. Can I use the discard pulp for fruit vinegar? I can't compost and done have any chickens. I hate to waste the pulp. FYI: PINE is a great Fly repellent, and DAWN deters ANTS. XOXO 😘

To he honest, I'm not sure. I've never really done anything but compost them or give them to my chickens. I'll do a little research.

Hi, does it matter what kind of tree? I just looked up what kind of tree I have because I thought it looked different from what I expected a real tree would look, (it’s been awhile since I had a real Christmas tree) anyway, it’s a Balsam Fir. I made 3 quarts anyway 🤞

canning question--my alitiude is2310 feet -- i asked leisa and she just gave me a heart-- so i am double checking with you cus from what a gathered from usda is i need 10 pounds of pressure for my jiggler --is this ok cus i want to start pressure canning-- never done it before i am(i hope)ready to try!!!!

Same uses as lemons in vinegar? I made some but haven’t done anything with it yet, 25% in water filled spray bottle? Then go back with damp cloth and wipe area…

You could give it a try, but basically, it's a strong vinegar with the extra boost of pine oil. Do a test spot and see how it works.

I'm not sure. It does smell weird in the beginning but get better over time. I also add pine essential oils to increase the pine smell sometimes too.

I never have. I've never known of anyone to use pinecones, so I can't say for sure.

Vinegar can be very harsh for sure. I wouldn't know how your counters or wood will react. When I use it on a new surface, I do a small test area in an inconspicuous spot.
