So good! What would happen if we used a white gel polish for the tips instead of acrylic paint?

So-I tried to recreate yesterday, major fail! I was doing it from memory and forgot that you stamped on the foil 1st. The white kept drying and I ended up with a spotted mess. I watched the video and attempting this again.

As an nail tech, I have to say that you did a great job! For those out there that use a hard or builder gel to cap your natural nails to keep them from breaking, you can just do fills when needed, then use gel polish over it. Use a file to remove the polish and you still have your gel nail surface to work with. I completely remove the builder gel or poly gel (which ever I have on) about 2 times a year and redo all my nails, I use regular polish because I change it so often.

Actually - not so hard. I've been doing mine for a few times now (but at the moment trying just simple techniques and just checking out what works and what not and how long I can wear it). What can I add (and this I found out from some russian nail technician videos) - if you don't want to get the gel nail polish in the cuticle, leave your fingers with the nail tip down for a few seconds, so after curing and finishing the manicure, it wouldn't create the transition from your natural nail to gel polish so obvious. I've to try this one next time I'm doing my nails.

Master nail tech here! Great job! You have lots of knowledge lots of people think they have but don’t lol so good job 👍🏼 i too am a bit of an extremist so I understand The cuticle away. But! That stuff has acid in it and if you love your nails, only keep it on 2 mins max and RINSE it off after pushing!!!! It needs to be neutralized by water. It is and acid and can cause over exposure which causes contact dermatitis. I have this from hair dye and can’t dye my hair anymore, it’s HORRIBLE. And the glass file is because your nails grow in a crisis cross if you look at them under a microscope. You should use something very fine like glass and only go in one direction as to not shred your nail. Keep up the good work! ✌️❤️

To those who use cuticle remover. Please make sure you clean nails with iso alchohol and acetone because cuticle remover can leave residue and can cause lifting
@AaronW-ww4ds5 жыл бұрын
You only need one or the other you do not need to use both at the same time they both do the same thing by cleansing and dehydrating the nail
@coolkid-xc1yi5 жыл бұрын
@@AaronW-ww4ds I watched nail hub and she said to mix one part acetone and 3 parts iso 91% alcohol and use that as a gel cleanser. I mean in sure you can use just iso alcohol but I think the acetone really helps. Btw I'm only talking about making your own gel cleanser. Because lot of ones in the market leave a sticky residue and can interfere with gel application. But yes if you want completely remove the cuticle remover residue, you can use acetone or rubbing alcohol

Great job. In your heading you should state soakable gel so not to confuse. If you try to find a pink that is a tad darker you could get away with less coats. My only criticism is the thickness at the cuticle. Try that and only one topcoat. Very impressed. I am a nail tech. 😎

Hey, I'm new here. I too do my nails at home. I enjoy it and it saves $$. Please, when filing your natural nails only file it one direction at a time. When you file back and forth it weakens your nails and leaves them prone to splitting and peeling. Your doing great! Love the video.

I am a nailtech and really love that u are using good and safe products! I know they are expensive but its so dangerous using cheap products what most people at home use.. also dont touch your nails when u clean them . U make them greasy with the natural grease from ur hands . And i dont know why u wash your hands when doing your cuticles and stuff ive seen it allot but here in belgium we learned u dont make the nails wet because the product doesnt stick on the nails .. we just brush the dust off with a small nailbrush. You did really good btw!

What are the possible disadvantages of using cheap gel products?
@lanaeetezonne57385 жыл бұрын
Farah Washindroy hello, you could get seriously infected nails. Or your nails could really end up being so damaged from all the bad products.. we learn this in school , allot of people think its not true bjt ive seen some damaged nails from cheap products and trust me u dont want that.

Your natural nails are sooooo healthy and good. Also I loved that video. Was super helpful. Looks so good. Better than some of the times I go to the salon honestly.
