These are lovely! How long do you bake them the first time, and how long the second time after applying the backings?

I bake them for an hour first time and you can bake up to about 30mins. Beauty of polymer clay is you can bake it many times as long as temperature is stable

@@FernMitchHandmade would you recommend only baking the main earring feature for half the time first and then putting on the back and finishing off. I'm just wondering if the feature would burn and discolour

Shana-Rebecca Velloza As long as your temperature is below 275F (make sure you use a thermometer) the pieces won’t burn or discolour. 😊 However if in doubt, yes please bake your pieces halfway first and then add the backing and bake again.

I used the finest one I could find. I think it was about 300 grit. I found it to be a little hash so after the prominent shaping is done, I hand sanded with a 1000grit sandpaper. I found a better way to sand recently, so I will be sharing that on my coming video. Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Yes, I basically cut one circle in yellow and another in print and cut them in half. Then carefully joined them using some liquid clay. I did not roll them 😊

Thank you 🥰 I recently started doing this technique. Sanding with soapy water makes the pieces much more smoother than reg. It’s also less messy.

Premo and soufflé are flexible after baking. Almost like a hard rubber. Raw clay to raw clay stick pretty well. It does not fall off.

My pleasure 🥰 when you add raw clay to raw clay it doesn’t fall off. But if you have a problem like this I recommend you condition your clay very well.

Polymer clay need to be baked ☺️ but you can certainly use air dry clay to make these as well.
