already making my own symmetrical boost psu, i recommend having a common mode filter choke before the output capacitor, since there is no feedback connection at the negative rail, the common mode choke will help by pulling down the positive output at bit under load

how can i make a common mode filter choke? sorry but I'm not very advanced in electronics. also for rectifier, can i use a full bridge?

@@f.a3202 make a choke with 2 identical windings, each will be in series with the rail voltage but the negative side will have an opposite in/out from the positive rail, this is actually done on some generic atx psu for -12v rail

Wow I have been looking for a nice power supply that can be used as a Bench top variable supply, swap the trimmers for linear pots and I might have found it. Will check out your files, thank you.

@@KasyanTV Your content is great, i have seen many videos on your channel but what is the use since you don't provide a schematic file in pdf or (gerber file factory pcb print) to print it on cooper clad, we need the pcb lines or schematic lines on a A4 size paper, to print on Toner transfer paper then to cooper clad I hope you understand what i am trying to say and you will provide file it in video description

How can be same converter be made without changing DC to ac ! I hope there would be minimum loss in DC to DC converter rather than DC - AC - DC converter
@Basement-Science
@Basement-Science 4 жыл бұрын
It is not possible to convert voltage efficiently without converting to some type of AC. Converting between AC and DC is not what causes losses by itself. Rather, the way in which you do this determines the efficiency.

Hi i wanna know what should i do to learn these things (power electronics ) references
@keithking1985
@keithking1985 4 жыл бұрын
theres a channel called "simply put" check it out!! learn the basics.. power is just a term!! a circuit works the same either way. if you want more power use beefier components and thicker wires and more current/voltage. put the videos on the basics in your favorites and watch the back until you understand them. i started a just over a year ago and never looked back and can already build a circuit like this and most importantly understand it.. get books like electronics for dummies and electronics for beginners. & a word of warning dont get "the art of electronics" JUST YET, coz it's very advanced & could scare you off making you think you in over your head. give it time, you will know your making progress when you look at your favorites and say i dont need this video no more because i know this stuff now!! hope this helps you & i expect to see you commenting in a year giving another beginner advise on their circuit problems... peace out!!

Just one more thing Abanoub check out a channel called "ALL ABOUT ELECTRONICS" it has everything for beginning in electronics. He has 2 channels his main one with the red & black logo.. & his quiz channel with the orange & black logo (which you would like to) which gives you problem & then follows up with the answer & explains the circuit.. good luck.. check him out...👍
