DIY results using Meguiars ultimate compound 17 year old Astra G Mk4

Doing my 02 Astra G with same compound and my new DA polisher. Only done bonnet and passenger side so far but it's cone up great. All the swirl marks now gone and only the deeper scratches can still be seen. I believe after the compound Meguiars recommend giving it a coat of their ultimate polish then their liquid carnuba wax. I skipped the polish and waxed straight after and buffed off and was well pleased with result. I like the high gloss wet look finish of yours and will aim to match it.

👍🏻👌🏻 Any suggestions why my Astra H has intermittent issues where the central locking and speakers fail , tried disconnecting the battery, worked at first and now the same. Sorry for asking off topic from your content on this video. I know you’re familiar with the Astra H though.

I would suggest checking the electrical connections are properly connected these are located on the inner part of doors visible when doors are open.. Located half way up on front doors and towards botom on rear doors

@@seansautos152 yeah I've saw them on eBay.. just type in "mk4 astra aerial gasket" i needa change mine asap cos its deteriorated and I have no idea how to..

@@zhoaibraja2992 sound mate.. Will try to do one soon.. Mines battered aswell. think it must come in two half's from factory as on mine the front one is always coming loose, it just slides under to refit

@@seansautos152 i don't think it comes in two halves. I think you have to drop the headliner or somehting to fit it as its a one piece gasket. I think yours may have split into 2 from being battered over the years..
