Do you have any tips for minimizing the peeking out of the fabric underneath? Would going over the hem, when everything's turned the right way out, with a zig zag finish hold them flatter? Or coud you insert the elastic between the two layers instead of one top of one of them?

Hey Katie, I think something’s wrong with the length of the strap for size xs, it says to make it 24 inch long and it’s too short when I tried to cut it so it matches the two pieces. Why is that?

It has to be swimwear rubber elastic? I have regular one, can I use it?

Rubber elastic is the best for swimwear because it can withstand chlorine, salt water, and UV much longer. However, it's fine to use regular elastic if that's what you have!

It's from Victoria's Secret PINK, I don't think it's meant to be used as a pincushion but it's cute!!

It's smaller so it fits inside easier! Instead of putting the front inside of the back. Regardless of which way you do it, it creates those beautiful concealed seams!

why include an elastic though ? the fabric itself has the stretch to hold tight against the body. I know its common practice but don't really see why. I just made it without the elastic and it looks perfect.

Just my experience, but for those of us who are a little more top heavy, and want to avoid too much "baywatch bounce" the elastic provides a little extra support ;)

Nope! No tension on the elastic, nor on the fabric!

@@EdgewaterAve but in the normal (not duple face) model it usually with a bit of tension to make it fit better. Maybe your design is made smaller in order to avoid elastic.. I guess
