13 ply plywood!! That's the best plywood I've seen for shop projects. Very nice!!

Funny, I was just out in my garage sketching out an under drill press cart and just looked at your KZbin video, and basically the exact same configuration. You have some good details that were helpful regarding the construction of the drawers which I will “borrow”. Thanks for the video.

Very nice drill press cabinet! I like it and I think I’m going to copy it. I however will not use those kinda knobs, I used similar knobs on a shop cabinet and caught my pants on one and my shop apron one one. Bent the screws both times and I had to change to different handle after fixing the wood by filling the hole and the damaged area around the knobs. Nice video, a little more narrative would have been good.

Nice work! I’m thinking about making something similar but I want to incorporate a rolling base in mine.

John Heubi the cabinet is on castors. Do you mean a rolling base for the pillar drill? Good luck!

What height is your cabinet? Would you suggest changing it if you were to build it again?

Is the drill press attached to the cabinet so it moves with it?
@StuffIMade
@StuffIMade 5 жыл бұрын
Judy Baer nope it slots in around it to use otherwise dead space... but can wheel out of the way if I need to lower the drill press table. It’s better for me this way and more sturdy to use the drill press.

I think you are going to regret the single screw pulls. I put knobs on the drawers in the cabinets in the bathrooms when I built my house. Cords and pockets get caught on them quite frequently. I will not use single screw pulls any more EVER.
@StuffIMade
@StuffIMade 6 жыл бұрын
I have had them on several workshop cabinets for some time now, and haven't had any issues as yet. I guess they are slightly set back under the drill press table in this instance so perhaps less of an issue. I have t-bar handles in our kitchen and am forever catching the oven gloves on them so i know what you are talking about :)

Ultimate Maker I don't have plans, When I get time I could roughly measure it and let you know, but it is built with this custom drill table and this particular drill press in mind so I am not sure how useful that would be.

@@StuffIMade Wow, this is why I won't buy Festool. Over $100 for a tool that should cost, and does cost, less then $20. I just can't support that.
@StuffIMade
@StuffIMade 11 ай бұрын
@@jimryan3960 Cost £56.49 in the UK right now. I think when I bought it it was £45. When i got this there were not any alternatives i could find and it has be a delight to use. The Armano is £43.81 today and good quality. Other cheaper versions are £20 to £30, but not the same quality. But yes, you do pay more just for the Festool name. I make my decision on how much time it will save me. I do like this tool though :)

Aruga exactly, it’s not a how too video, it’s just me sharing my builds and ideas so it may inspire other people’s ideas. It should not be difficult to work out sizes for your specific needs. Good luck!
