Sounds easy enough! I was looking at using a double cot tent for a DIY rooftop tent. I would build a base for it similar to yours. I would keep the base flush with the tent, though. Water can collect on the wood near those corners and possibly collect under your tent.

Yep that’s why I overlap the tent on the wood to elevate that. Did you ever attempt the build

Thanks so much. I need to sit down and edit part 2 this weekends be looking for it Sunday earliest , I am mounting it back on Jeep this weekend for a final functional test with mattress in its final stage .
