Excellent video felix. Could you please do a video on other applications for this tensioner? Eg.. Using it for ridge lines, guy lines and as a substitute for the truckers hitch etc etc etc

This is based on the principles of a Canadian jam knot. Adding the toggle is brilliant!

Another Dave C. fan!(?) Yeah, I was thinking the same thing (he has a great decade-old video on his three jam knots). This is a great, more elegant version of that, for sure and would definitely be in line with the Pathfinder adage _The toggle is the woodsman's friend_

Felix, I can’t tell you how much I have learned from you SAK videos. I am a Swiss Army knife enthusiast and this simple paracord retention system is really useful. I made mine with pieces of an old hickory drum stick. Excellent for hanging my backpack on a tree. Now it’s time to learn more about the parcel hook on another one of your videos. Keep them coming !

The huntsman is good but if you dont drink wine your best choice is fieldmaster dont have a wine opener and this place is a Philips drive !

@@7LifeOutdoor I've carried a Huntsman for about 4 years now. It's the first thing to go in my pocket in the morning and the last thing I put down at night. I use every tool on it regularly (except maybe the hook). The corkscrew and mini screwdriver have so many uses. Felix did a whole series on SAK uses and in most, he used a Huntsman.

@@leftfield123 in european side ı only know belgrad forest and kilyos beach for camping. But if you are in istanbul and you have a car ı suggest you go to şile. Kabakoz, ağva, darlık... there are realy good locations near to şile

This is brilliant Felix, thanks for sharing it with us! Way better than buying cheap plastic tensioners from China, or even bungie cords. I love how you used it for the ridgeline too. I watched the original Bushcraft & Nature video too and I love how he set up his ridgeline. I'm definitely implementing these! I've already made one (with my SAK) to try it out, although it's not as nice looking as yours. I'll be making lots more. The great thing is that if it breaks or gets lost we can always make more in the field.

I hid the unused Flint out of a disposable lighter in my SAK. Works with any 91mm with a cork screw (probably others too).

I like the "little trick", really how to make a small, but potentially VERY useful tool. However, I would change the knots used. The loop, well, there is simply no reason it should not be a bowling, if you know how to tie one, and you should. Second, for the other end of the paracord, I would use a "Figure 8" knot. You made a toggle. With a hole drilled through it. As useful things go, it's pretty good. As far as answering questions no one asked and wasting calories, it's impeccable.
