My fave pattern. I'm going to have a go on a smaller sampler piece, 2 layers. It's beautiful.

Thank you😊 This is one of the patterns I tried when I started Sashiko. It’s a lot easier than it looks👍

Thank you for sharing your talent with us ! what type of fabric marker do you use ? Thank you :)
@thegreenwrapperАй бұрын
Thank you💕💕 I used a water erasable marker for this project. You can also use a heat erasable marker but it can leave some marks so it’s better to test it before using it👍

Super clear as alway may try this one, I wonder if now you would also maybe sew over the stitches in the centre after you recent trip to Japan and picking up the Sashiko from the Hida sashiko shop in Aichi?

I love this, and am gathering my materials. The only thing I don't have is a white erasable marker. I use a Clover chalk pencil, but it is hard to get precise lines. Can you recommend one? Thank you
@thegreenwrapper Жыл бұрын
Recently, I’ve been using Clover’s white marking pen which is a heat erasable white pen. However, it leaves some dark marks after ironing sometimes, so you need to try on your fabric beforehand. To deal with the problem , I often use a Hera marker for a grid (lines I only use as a guide) and use the white pen on the lines I actually stitch on. Dark pen marks are usually unnoticeable under the stitches. I hope it works for you🧵🪡😊❤️

What size needle are you using and how many strands?
@thegreenwrapper19 күн бұрын
Hi, I choose a needle and thread depending on the thickness and thread count of the material. Generally speaking, I use a Sashiko needle and a single strand of 4-ply Sashiko thread for ornamental Sashiko stitches. Otherwise, I choose the easiest tools to stitch the particular material.
