Wow! I didn't see this. I'm in the process of building almost the exact same setup. I wasn't going to include an air tank but probably will after seeing this. Mine is only going to be used in my pool so it will run on mains power. I'll also be adding a charcoal filter for safety and taste. I took the pump apart (only have 1 at the moment) and found metal shavings inside. I cleaned all of the diaphragms with soap and water and now the air is much cleaner.

You've inspired me. Id like to use this design more or less. Im thinking of going with a 2 160lpm pump with 2 batteries. The reserve tank will be pvc pipe wrapped around the tote box also acting as an inner tube reinforced with fiberglass allowing it to contain more psi without failing

if i wore to do it again id take 1 160 and make it compatlct as possible. seriously people look at you wir and walking around whit it. make 1 pump whit lifepo battery and you have 2 hours of air

It's not really scuba (self contained underwater breathing apparatus) anymore. Also, you have to be careful with the air quality. A major problem with DIY air supplies is that there may be oil in the air which goes into your lungs. I think it's better to buy a official scuba tank and have it filled at a good professional filling station.

you can put a 10psi presure switch to the relay to kill pump once reached 10 psi but i didnt see a need for one since this pump cant do more than 20 psi

@sujstet this are fish tank pumps there ment to work 24/7 non stop there ruber membrane so yah i had mine pumpingn2 hourse and never overheated also they cool them selfs down by sucking air in so they dont het hot ever

never had any problems actually compressors get cooled by pulling air

Cool setup - do you have a parts list? What kind of battery? How long does it last? Is that PVC tube acting as a tank? How did you connect the input an output hoses to the PVC tube?

i went to dept of 30 feet max no problem but also no 2 pumps doens not give you deeper depth of dive as this pumps only give 17psi its just for safety reasons incase 1 pump goes out also you can use 2 divers whit 2 pumps as you get more air quicker. hope that makes since

the current that passes through the on off button can cuz mulfunction on the button they not rated to handle thay much. or ether you find a on off switch that can handle 20 amps or relay I wouldn't wanna risk my system catching on fire or breaking down when am 20 30 feet down. and i say this when am not that picky guy on perfection and safety but when it comes to my life umm yah id rather do it extra safe safe and alway carry a beck up spear air bottle just in case cuz this chinese motors and parts are not to be trusted

you add a pressure switch to relay so when it reaches like 20 30 psi it cuts off but i didnt do it i saw now need if you breath normally its just perfect

naw there not pisto driven there ruber membrane so very very safe they are meant to work non stop for fish tanks.

Good work but you must have a filter between the pump and your breather. All pumps can generate tiny metal parts and you do not want these in your lungs! The filter should ideally be under 1 micron.

Just a warning, your switch is probably not made to survive 240w, it's about 20a of current, your switch can burn it's contacts and couse pumps to stop working or even create a fire Edit: i think that you are using a relay to switch pumps on, my bad

You are using lead acid battery in the lead acid batteries produce gasses that are bad for you . breathing those fumes are toxic.

@@YuriyDtv Lipo is extremely flammable when introduced to water or punctured. I have not had one blow up on me, but there a lot of KZbin videos with them doing so.
