Lmao “in my oven”! I love how extra you are about your projects. I tend to think my stuff isn’t good enough of that others could do it better with the right tools and you are just like, “LOOK AT THE MAGNIFICENCE!” I aspire to have your level of confidence in creativity rather than seeing my potential failures as wasted product. You are truly an inspiration and I treasure you.

I love your dry sense of humour, and the easy, relaxed chat throughout every video! You inspire and educate and bring fun to our day. Yes, the colour of the scrolls was much better when you took it outside. Thank you for clarifying that the equipment gathering doesn't happen at the start, and it takes time.

I love love love this project, but mostly I love the versatility - on grass, in a bookcase, on the floor and in the oven…….!!!!!!!!!!!! That was so sweet seeing your daughter. Hope she’ll be joining you every now and again. Maybe do a tiny-sized children’s journal that kids can make and she helps you…..!!!!!!

Of course you have an apron, crocks, heels AND a totally organized craft room! I knew it all along. Late to this video but got distracted by the toilet paper scroll journals that showed up in my recommended list and than wandered down the rabbit hole of you making dyeing papers so fascinating ... what fun I've had the last couple days with you, your enthusiasm and ideas with multiple alternatives. Thanks so Much! My February is better for pausing along the way.

The fabric is faux leather. I bought some at Walmart, and Joanne's has it as well. I made this too. I love it. I'm happy to see your video on this. I actually bought one from a maker on Etsy too. TFS And, love the knot you tied in the middle of the signature. The one I bought is real leather. So, I can't let it sit out and look pretty b/c my kitties chew on it. :( LOL They don't seem to bother the ones I made with the faux leather fabric. :)

If the edges of those ragged pages were gilded gold, it would look dazzling darling!!! And the scrolled design lends itself to holding writing implements, reminds me of the roll up paintbrush and pen holders. I like your little one with the flowers painted on it, has the journaling pages plus pockets and writing pen pocket.

Thank you so much for this... I've been looking for so many tutorials for a scroll journal but didn't find any. They usually lead me to leather scrolls or a wall hanging scroll mixed media journal (of a single long sheet) or something else altogether and the only item I found on Amazon looked cheap which pushed me to think of DIYing. I'm on track with putting artist's pad sheets in coffee decoction and with the general idea of the journal, but your tips have been incredibly useful especially with the binding (I was going to over complicate it 😅). Once again, thanks a lot. I'll make it this week if there's time. Loved all your jokes as well!

Thank you for posting this! About a year ago I was blessed to meet a new friend who had owned an upholstery shop for 35 years and she was retiring. She sold me all of her beautiful fabrics and vinyl! I probably have 70 or 80 bolts of every color you can imagine, and even more of the most beautiful upholstery fabric you've ever seen! But I don't do upholstery!! My only thought was to make tote bags. After watching A LOT of your videos, I am now doing pamphlet stitch journals using some of the fabrics. Now I am going to be making these! LOVE this, thank you for being such an inspiration! Wishing you a safe and prosperous new year from Indiana, USA!
