DIY Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) Arcade Fight Stick

Hey all it's JP.
I had an awful Interact SG ProPad 6 Sega Genesis controller. So I converted it to a quality arcade stick for the Genesis.
There's something magical about playing games with a stick instead of a controller; a far better feel of the arcade at home.
This video isn't a tutorial since I decided to post what I built after the project, but maybe this can give you an idea for your own build.

Great job dude, that really looks good! I was getting around to doing this myself when you originally hinted at this project... I guess I got a little sidetracked... I still need to finish my Genesis stick and my Atari stick. 😅 The first stick that I made was my arcade panel for my consolized Neo Geo MVS, it's a straight forward project, since it doesn't need an encoder. Thanks for sharing this!

I've been making these for fun for the last few years. I usually like recycling cheap Chinese clones instead of an OEM as well. That said, I noticed lately the cheap Chinese clone controllers seem to have janky "mode" button functionality. If you don't care about the mode button then it's fine but if you want a controller that functions perfectly, I'd suggest trying one from a western retro name brand like Retro-bit which makes an excellent officially licensed remake. There is also Hyperkin, but I haven't tried one of theirs yet.
