Well done - looks so classy. I did the same thing last year - replaced exactly the same taps with a sexy set like yours. A tip someone gave me is to wrap some tissue paper around the hoses then, if they stay dry, you know there is no water seeping out.

Go for it, you can tile the floor and wall yourself. Save a ton of money and such satisfaction you did it yourself. I did my bathroom floor and shower for the first time ever and it looks like a spa. Love it.

Impressive job! Try buffing your taps with a dryer sheet. It helps to repell water spots and lime scale. 🙋‍♀️

And there was me all proud like when I change the toilet seat when I moved in some 17 years ago haha! When our new house was being built...a workman was installing our tub/shower insert...while smoking...and the ashes from his cigarette, fell onto tub...melting little holes in my new tub! Builder refused to replace it!

Try painting your tiles first, then do a pattern on your cricket, and paint either a border, or pick a few tiles to make a bigger pattern. Then seal them. Just a thought to change it up while you save for a bigger reno. I say traditional clawfoot tub. Maybe paint the outside a beautiful pop of color.

Yea, I was tempted to paint tiles, normally I don't like the texture of tile paint, but a satin sealer might work ?

I love the new fixtures. I love chrome. I did expect the fixture to be gold/bronze like the one in the kitchen. For the tile check out "The Sorry Girls" and "DIY Danie" they have both done bathroom renos and tiling. Love this video.

I always put a towel over the loo seat, and lay one in the bath and handbasin if I have anything DIY going g on in ththe bathroom. Not saying I'm clumsy(!!!), but it'd be just my luck to drop a hammer/wrench in/on them! Save yourself a lot of money peeps by playing it safe. Love this gal .... what she doesn't attempt to do herself, aint worth mentioning!! Great role model for all young women I'd say (and this 62yr old!!) 💕

Every time I watch your videos no matter what it is about I want to drink some tea just like yours! But here in America I’m clueless how to make it with milk or what type of tea etc. Could I look it up? You're braver than I am, tackling a plumbing job. That's the one area I haven't tried. I can change out electrical fixtures and most carpentry jobs with no problem, but plumbing stumps me. Good for you!

You did a great job. Beautiful bathtub faucet. Look at soaker tubs for replacement or check plumbing salvage for small claw foot ladies tub or rolled top tub. They can be repainted any color and resurfaced on the inside look like new. Got some good skills now plumbing. Woohoo.

when you have the money you want to really think about installing a combi boiler and doing away with immersion tank. It makes hot water on demand and it is far cheaper in the long run.
