Very nice. I would have made them a tad bigger though because they kinda look lost on these huge walls. But they are a beautiful accent to your staircase.

I really like this and beautiful wood used, but with a few minor adjustments the light could also have spread freely underneath and on top of the wood to create an even more floating feeling. Will keep this in mind though. Thanks.

The lights are beautiful, but I'm not sure what you did with the blue and brown wire by connecting them to the block? Are they alternative power connections that you simply dead-ended in the block?

Would love to take this concept into a self sustaining approach. Anyone have an ideas on how to do so? New to all this, and this would be the closest interpretation to the concept in mind.

Where is the power coming from? Does it come from the final peace which was the block. Which then sends currents? If someone could explain this i would be greatful planning to make some for my house but need to know you dont need a external power supply right
@LyenFish
@LyenFish 2 жыл бұрын
I'm three years late but you do need 110-220v power supply from the wall going into the the white block, most likely the installation was already done in his house and hooked up to the stairs switch.

Due to the metal string he installed on the back I assume he hammered a nail maybe 1/4 inch head stick out... then A/C power, this maybe a new construction or previous lights that was installed... It must b/c that white block is an AC/DC inverter..

Dont force your pieces together like that. The convergence of the pieces can bind on the carbide teeth and cause a kickback. Without a proper push-stick it will also suck your hand in a bit. Safety first friend.

I really dont think that you should get a bigger power supply for the leds, I think its better to give some kind of limit to it, because with time, leds will eventually heat, and while they're heating they're taking more and more current, wich will reduce its useful life overall
