DIY Sump Update - Changes I've Made - Reef Tank

This video is about the diy custom sump for my 75 gallon reef tank. I prefer to use a diy system because it allows me to build it the exact way I want it. I've updated my gfo and carbon reactor. I've also raised my essence 130 protein skimmer.

I love the design of this sump! For the phyto - you probably already know this - if you start feeding daily, keep a closer eye on nutrient levels and be prepared to clean the glass frequently. 😁 Lol, what lives also dies.....🤔 And that little dual reactor setup - it’s PERFECT. 👍🏻👍🏻

The dual reactors are from brs now, they are clear👍. And the unions i just get from my local plumbing store

I've done the bag method before. I just found in a reactor the tank is Crystal clear

Have you/do you know if you can use what’s Carrera marble tile as baffles?

I've never used marble. But I know natural stones and tiles do release elements in the water that are not good for a reef tank

I liked them both. The octo does come apart very easy for maintenance and it's also super silent. Plus it has the built in silencer
