As for houseplants, I don't prefer them but I've had a Pothos & Peace Lilly that's been thriving for 6 years! English Ivy does well too. I'm just an outdoor flower garden girl. The patio is amazing! Hello Kayla and Marcus. Kayla, the rule of thumb when it comes to caring for plants is, give them a place similar to where they came from. If you have a plant that comes from a sunny place, put them in a window where they will get plenty of sun. Also, look at the tag that is in the pot, that will give you a lot of information. When you know that, watering will be easier. The refresh for the sun room is gorgeous. You have such good taste.

The food looks amazing. Remember you can return the plants that did not do well for free replacement at both the big box stores for up to a year. Put watering them on your planner. Thats so sweet of you Kayla. Give ppl they're flowers while they are alive. If you put a clear plant tray underneath the plants, it will catch any overwatering and plant can suck up as needed. It will also keep your surfaces and floor clean and free of water,dirt.Yes trim & door black. Room will pop.

Ive got a Pothos from my Dads funeral since 1996. I put it in a planter from my Mom. It went all the way around a double window in my livingroom, across the top of my computer desk and trailed onto the floor and up a metal sculpture i had in another potted plant. I had to cut it back when i moved, but ive given family members cuttings that are thriving in their homes.

Hi Kayla! I say keep the white trim inside your Florida room and the natural door. It allows you to keep the indoor feel separate from the outdoor feel and keeps the Florida room light and airy! Also we do pizza night and home and we get the doe from the bakery section at Publix, it’s bagged up fresh daily. I would recommend getting a cast iron as well and baking it in the cast iron next time. Good looking out for Marcus!

Love the patio refresh! I'm a plant lady. 😂 Don't over water. That's how most people off their plants. It's best to under water. Snake plants can go almost a month without watering and only need to be watered when dry. Buy a water meter and it will tell when your plants are dry, moist etc. Your Monstera needs to be watered right before it dries out. Pothos like to dry out but not completely. Water them when the leaves droop. Also make sure there's no water left in the catch pot and that your plant pots have drainage holes because if not your plants will get root rot!

Late, but I just found your page. I'm a certified wedding planner and I commend you two for taking this all on yourselves. It can be very stressful, though hosting the ceremony in your backyard does help so much with lowering the cost and the stress. Unfortunately, the minute you tell someone you're planning a wedding, they tack on an extra 15-25% onto the price (especially in ATL, which is already prone to price gouging). Pair that with how many couples have postponed/canceled their nuptials because of the panini... $4k is about right. That sun room is fantastic.

Hey Kayla!! I can testify and let you know that those aqua globes are a complete game changer!! I used to over water my plants. However with aqua globes the plants only take out of them what they need. My plants are the happiest they have ever been! I have a lot of different plants from Swiss cheese plant to calatheas, etc. I only refill the globes every 2 weeks ( but only once a month for the snake plant). Let me go ahead and tell you. Snake plants LOVE to dry allllll the way out. Only water them once a month in spring and summer and every other month in the colder months. Also use neem oil to keep away pests! Cinnamon is also good for riding the plant of gnats and fungus. Hope this helps!! 😉😉💕💕

I have the Fiddle Leaf and yes it’s a very finicky plant, if it dies DO NOT TOSS IT OUT, it will regrow! I know from experience of two dieing on me. I also have 7 Monstera plants and I love them. The Zz plant is another good one which I have 6 of them, snake plant, and I have 12+ Epipremnum aka Pothos. Make sure to have a routine watering and leaf dusting day. You have to make sure the leaves are dusted because your plants need the light (photosynthesis) to vibe well in your home. No direct light to your Fiddle leaf and the Monstera , they will die on you. They love indirect lighting💕

Remove the plants from the plastic liners. Keeping them in the liners are choking the roots and read the "how to care for" tags on each plant. It will tell you the level of sun, water, etc. per each plant. Also trim back the dead or dangling pieces/leaves on the plants so the energy can go to the grown of the plant. Hopefully this info helps🌱🌿

You got a Pothose and those are very forgiving. With the watering bulbs…if you forget to water your plants normally, then you still need to remember to add water to the bulbs. Place reminders in your pretty planner each month. Also, starting of with a couple of live plants with low maintenance with the addition of faux plants as fillers will give you the look you desire but no watering 👍🏾

Fiddle leaf fig are great for a room with a lot of light, they don’t like to be moved and keep the leaves clean. Keep all your plants leaves clean, check the leaves for bugs

Fiddle leaf fig can be real funky but love on it and it will love you back! I let mine dry out and it adjusted to that and give it a good bath every 2 weeks in the winter i water it just about once a month. I also shake it to get more leaves to grow (try it it really works lol) the shake mimics it’s natural environment and thus leaves come about. Fertilize it if you didn’t Change the soil when you got home and weekly wipe down it’s leaves to avoid pest from making a home.

Pizza dough tip, add some oregano, a little rosemary and garlic seasoning to the dough. Pre-bake the dough for 8 mins then add your sauce and toppings and bake for 10-12 more mins. I also sprinkle shredded Parmesan around the edge of the dough.

The make over is nice Kayla, I love love the construction of that new furniture. Kayla as far as the best type of plants. The snake plant can go a long time without water. There are over 75 different types. The ZZ plant is another hardy one. I've used the water bulbs before you only need them in plants that need watering often. Kayla you're doing good, just give your plants 10 minutes every other day some love and they will love you back. Do a quick scan of leaves and soil. Also, a house plant app will help you. Be blessed.

Kayla, I have falling in love with the Zanzibar Gem aka ZZ plant. It's easy to care for and not a lot of watering. You see this plant in office building. When you were at Home Depo at 13:26-28 you are hold a wood something in your hand, the ZZ plant is right in front of you. It's a beautiful deep green. Love your journey.

Yes to the black window frames and I seen that you had orange/rust color pillows; those will look nice on the gray couch. And I was thinking about the bathroom cabinet you gave that they wont pick up… what about using it in the that outdoor space as a console cabinet. You can put plants 🪴 on the top. And store outdoor dishes and silverware in the drawers.. You can put push the open side against the wall. Just suggestions.

Love the sunroom! One of my wishes is to have one love the furniture and the design. Get you a microfiber cloth for outside. They are perfect for cleaning those really dirty messes. Also if you tie the snake plant up with a twine and it start growing back upwards like it is supposed too. Love your vids girl!! Congrats on the marriage can’t wait for the wedding uploads.

Your monstera deliciosa looks great. Make sure to transfer it into a terracotta pot as it helps to soak up extra moisture helping to prevent root rot. Monsteras love an airy soil. I use husky brand coco husk for my monsteras. They need non direct light and a light watering once a week. I usually change out the soil when receiving plants from big box stores. Also orchids and cacti are super easy to care for.

The snake plant just need some miracle grow feeder. and it will stand back up. don't water it unless it's dry. miracle grow only once a month the snake plant do not need direct sun light place it in another corner from that huge window. Try adding mulch to your plants on top of the dirt. It holds the moisture in and you won't have to water as often. it work for me
