Hey, Pete, I am "in that category". I have four "nice" lawns now that get a full year program with fungus prevention. I have right now three renovations this fall and will be applying annual programs to those next year. I don't borrow money for my business. I bought two of those 4 gallon sprayers and will be ordering two nozzle packs. Maybe next year I can buy a skid sprayer. I'll get their dirt right. Thank you Pete.

Yep. I have spent thousands of $$$ with them. Used to use some of their products in my business. I actually have 1500 squ ft of their Black Beauty fescue in my test plot right now. No doubt they make a quality product. But I do get much more "bang for my buck" with the academy fert. Thats why I switched 3-4 years ago.

Hi Pete ... love your videos. What does the sprayer nozzle assembly accomplish over the standard nozzles with the Sprayers Plus? Just a wider swath of spray ... 2x or 1 1/2x the standard nozzle width? More volume or flow? If one has an 8000 sq. ft. lawn, is this beneficial, or does it mainly apply to larger properties?
@scholz2226 жыл бұрын
Milan Jurich I bought it from Pete for my first round of pre E. It has about a 8 foot wide swath that is consistent. I spray my 13,000 sq ft yard in about 20 minutes with it. It's a must by if you are using the battery powered sprayer. He's spent some time making it perfect and easy to use.
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
Milan Jurich 8ft wide. How big is your lawn?
@milanjurich15266 жыл бұрын
GCI Turf Services Hi Pete ... just under 8000 sq. ft.
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
Milan Jurich you would need the 2 gallon battery sprayer with the sprayer nozzle assembly. I pre calibrated that combo to cover 8,000 squ ft on the dot. Took me 4 mths of testing to do that. Lol. You can spray 8K in about 3 minutes and your application will be deadly accurate. Those are the 2 advantages of this setup.
@milanjurich15266 жыл бұрын
GCI Turf Services Hi Pete ... I did just buy & receive the 2 gal battery powered unit from Sprayers Plus through your link ... thanks for the Free Shipping. From what I gather, the performance of that sprayer will go up with the Nozzle Assembly.

Blessings Pete, So sometimes I get confused so need to clarify things so sorry.... You did 12000 sq with a 4 gallon carrier. Are you short on your product? I figured you would have refill twice to do 12000 sq.
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
No worries bro. I used 3 gallons of finished product to cover 12,000 squ ft. My sprayer is calibrated at 1 quart per 1000 squ ft. 4 quarts in 1 gallon.. 4x3=12. Does this make sense now?
@brobert2.0776 жыл бұрын
GCI Turf Services it makes since that you explained that way. I guess I don't understand why you went from galloons to quarts.
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
Always remember. WE DONT CALIBRATE BY GALLONS OR QUARTS......OR BY ANY VOLUME....Its all per 1000 squ ft :) The calibration is achieved when you know how many many gallons/quarts goes on the 1000 squ ft
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
because I choose to spray at the calibration rate of 1 quart per 1000. I could spray at 1 gallon per 1000 if I chose to. Its all about preference. If I sprayed at 1G/1000 I could only cover 4000 squ feet with a 4 gallon sprayer. By spraying at 1 qut per 1000 i can cover 16,000 squ ft with that same 4 gallons of water. That make sense?
@kentitus64576 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete hope you can help me I bought the 105E battery sprayer plus and your sprayer nozzle assembly and the trim pass nozzle so when I did my sprayer calibration it took 43 seconds to get to 32 ounces of water. So if I understand this right with 4 gallons of water I can spray 16,000 square-foot of yard am I total yard I need to spray is 17,500 square-foot so if I need 6 ounces of product let’s say humic 12 then for the 4 gallons I need 96 ounces is this correct I think I’m confusing myself

If its a total wreck then don't waste money on the academy right now. deal with the bad lawn another summer and renovate this fall

Get the weeds controlled this summer with selective herbicide. Be sure to use a good preemergant and time it so you can do a lawn rehab this fall. Put down 10 to 13 pounds of seed per 1k aware feet. Dust the seed with peat and topsoil. Keep it watered 3 times per day till it is green then 1 inch of water per week.
