This week we are getting back into the thrift store and I found some amazing items to turn into beautiful DIY home decor! Does anyone else just scroll through Pinterest all day looking for home decor inspiration? Can't just be me! lol. I've found so many cool decor ideas lately that I figured I would make this video Pinterest inspired, but also McGee & Co inspired. I've been LOVING their aesthetic and have been so inspired by Shae and the beautiful classic look she designs, but that price tag just isn't in my budget at the moment so I decided to take some aspects from her design style to apply to some of these DIYs.

That was a Rakel Wayersvang mid-century teak bowl. Remember to check the value of your finds before you paint or saw or sand them. A collector would have paid upwards of 50USD for it. I watch quite a few thrift flip videos and these are lovely projects and it is easy to not see the value of things when you've only paid a few dollars, but there are collectibles and real treasure to be found at thrift stores. A youtuber in Australia was showing how she was flipping things she thrifted and her viewers spotted that she had spray painted a piece of Finnish glass that was worth hundreds. It was a Nanny Still for Riihimaen Lasi, mouth blown in a bright yellow. When she was informed of her mistake she grabbed a bottle of goo remover and was able to removed all trace of paint, thankfully.

You can use concentrated coffee or tea for a subtle wood stain before you use oil.

When you’re finished with that oil next time. You can use mineral oil brings out the Lester in the world really pretty. Love the projects thank you

Hey! Just wanted to share a little hack... Instead of using that special oil, you can always use coconut oil 😊 The corners of the table made it look so high end, loved it!

Hi!! Yes! You could absolutely use a hand saw, but it will take you some time. And if the cuts aren’t as perfectly straight, sand it down so it is! Good luck babes!
