Hiya mate, I’m also planning on making a trailer with a budget of zero except I have a lot of parts because I recently broke a RC car for spares and I have tons of bits off that including the rear axle which I’m using as the trailer axle, was just wondering if you possibly have any tips I could use. Hello amigo...firstly ...thanks for subbing..much appreciated. To answer your question the best I can... I just looked at what a trailer basically is...either a flat surface or a box with two wheels underneath and went from there... Your major components will be dictated to you by your applied use of the trailer...so if your towing a drift car or model car for example...then you want a flat bed ...I would opt for metal joist splicing plates or electricians metal cable tracks for this... If you're wanting to haul some scale goodies only ...then a box trailer will be your best bet... And hey...you can use anything for a box trailer...this thing was basically made from a screw tray and an action man axle with wheels on it .. Once you've found your bed type and material... go find an old axle from an action man jeep or such....the wheels are braced between themselves with a steel bar... which means durability and easy mounting. Hope that helps
