On this project I'm using an aux cable from the Fosi amp into my computer soundcard.

Good video bro. Can you use a 7.1 surround sound standard hifi amplifier?

That'll depend on if you can get those channels into the hi-fi amplifier from your game source and whether those channels output to speakers will be able to drive the 30-50 watts necessary. Ideally you also want flat sound, as anything that distributes the bass to a single channel will be kind of useless as that is what we use to drive the shakers.
