If you are going to add shelves, make sure you leave them set back from the front to make room for the backing board for the door. Speaking from experience.

This would be a great way to hide a breaker box, as well as create extra storage space. Thinking I might do this in my laundry room to cover the breaker box and give me some storage for extra laundry soap, etc.

Love it! Ladies I'm looking for ideas to swank up my pantry door. I've considered old doors, something with glass, even an old screen door. Something unique. The size is 80×24. Do y'all have any ideas? and sources for supplies? I'd love a sliding barn door but the pantry takes up a corner in my kitchen.

Is there a way to use the typical builder grade hollow core door and somehow remove the 4 large panels and 2 small panels (on top) and insert glass, tin, etc? Perhaps it would be better to start with a solid wood door. ??

Actually we filmed this before I changed my plans! I wrote it all up and linked on our website. I ended up spray painting it white and then distressing a bit with a sander. Hope that helps!
