I built a saucy shingle hydro and in the process of a jinx run about based on the 152vo boats. They are cool looking. Some day I want to make a video of running my hydro then when it dies in the middle of the water go get it with my full size hydro and KG7H.

Way to cool! I forgot to tell you in the other comment I left you. I have a 1985 17’1”Hydrostream Vector with a Mercury 2.5 carbureted 200 with offshore mid section, modified bobs low water pick up nose cone. Boat has a foot throttle & trim buttons are on the wheel. It’s been 96mph on Garmin GPS! Love this stuff…💪🏻🏁

I looked up the Hydrostream Vector. Man, that boat looks awesome. I would love to ride along in such a boat with a 2.5 Mercury at full song!

@@CozyRC Yeah it’s fun for sure! I’ve had them 25 yrs now. I just sold two this past summer. I sold a 1987 mint condition bruiser colored V-King YT tunnel hull & I sold an all composite carbon fiber V-King V bottom which was a 2010 & literally was a new boat. It had only been wet 5-6 times. Both boats had 2.5 Mercury outboards. The YT had a carbureted one & the composite boat was a fuel injected boat! I really would of liked to keep the composite boat but the Vector I have now was my fathers & it has sentimental reasons for keeping. It’s still unbelievable rare color & we did it all over 20 yrs ago & it’s like a new boat. Keep up the great work…👌🏻🏁

Thank you Vinnie. I forgot to mention; for racing I use a 2S lipo, because the permitted power output is otherwise too high to compete. She runs more scale on 2S for sure! Cheers, DJ

I find it ironic how there's a class in Germany for flatbottom runabouts, where in UIM they only run hydros and cats! Where as here in the states we run many flatbottom classes in outboards, but there isn't a class of these here! Lol. I speak in reference to real race boats vs rc ofcourse

I don't know much about the real race boat classes. I do love F1 Tunnels, which run in the F1H2O league. I designed and built 2 RC F1 Tunnels. I love how they float above the water!

I need to order this kit so I can turn it into a DeSilva! Btw, Speedliners did run a center fin, but flat bottom runabouts turn MUCH better with a side fin and small rear fin on the favored side. But a center will give you left or right steering, you'll just spin out a ton! Take it from a seasoned flat bottom runabout racer here in the states, I ran everything from stocks, mods and pros from J, A, and C stocks, D mods, and 250cc, 500cc and 1100cc alky runabouts! Side fins the way to go!

Thanks for the advice! This boat is made from the original plans, according to the German 152VO class. The DeSilva boat has been built by a few modelers, too. Have a look at www.152vo.de A lot of nice boats that you will surely recognize from your racing days 😎👍

Thanks for the link, I enjoyed that ALOT, love the cab over hydro with the 6 on it! I just built a hydro from scratch that would fit perfectly there, I even used monokote on the front deck to simulate an old Sid or similar. Ofcourse it's an outboard. Wish I could post a pic here!

It's just called a bow handle, does your friend sell the plans of this? I really like the bottom profile of your boat, very scale to a DeSilva or even a Krier. Was the bottom design part of the plans or did you stray? The rcb kit looks like it had more of a basic flat bottom to it
