It's not really fine when you're specifically testing multiple recipes to see which is best. How can you say one is better or worse than another when you're not following the measurements properly?? I'm confident that the last one was supposed to have more liquid in it, pretty obvious.

Serhat Tonbul actually it is important for food. Did you not have that whole 'baking is chemistry' thing when you were younger. Cooking does not require exact measurements, but baking hell yes it does. This isn't science. This isn't a chemical change. If anything slime is more scientific than this and you don't necessarily need to follow the exact recipe for that either. For projects like this the measurement are the suggested amounts but as long as you know how much a cup, teaspoon, tablespoon, etc. look like, you're fine. As long as you don't have 2 cups of something you're supposed to have a quarter cup of and a teaspoon of something you're supposed to have a tablespoon of, it should be all and well.

It's not as though she followed the exact instructions for two and then half assed another, her skill in sand making remained the same throughout.
