So what? A lathe made of wood. For woodworking. It is difficult to judge the quality of such woodworking. The wood is not stabilized, the whole structure is devoid of rigidity. The skull-opener.

If I'm not mistaken it was said that your mother should be ashamed due to your blatantly rude and intentionally insulting comment intended to belittle someone to feel superior. The sad part is the act of saying the things you said in and of itself demonstrate your inferiority and poor self-esteem hidden behind the smug and arrogant presentation.. i pray you find the peace and happiness within yourself and that you find great success with your career, mechanical engineering can be a difficult field to find lucrative work in. Engineers are needed everywhere yet rarely valued at a fair price.

I'm no engineer but I do know that some wooden structures can keep their structural integrity for literal centuries through earthquakes and all kinds of stress and elements, depending on the type/joinery methods/hardware used, if any.. and as you pointed out... He's using it for wood. Given that it does use metal hardware and is only being used to turn something that is easy to cut, I don't believe rigidity or vibrations are going to be much of a problem for the thing. And it looks pretty damn rigid. I bet turning wood on this thing is safer than turning metal on a typical lathe. As long as he only uses it for smaller wooden stuff, I think this thing is AWESOME and seems plenty sturdy. But again, I'm no engineer of 10 years 🙃

@@outbakjak If it were stabilized wood (it is a harder plastic than wood), then it would be relatively safe, but still far from machine tool construction.) And this product will shatter into high-speed wooden shrapnel at the slightest load. Please do not repeat such constructions, they are made for video, but not for work, it is extremely traumatic.
