@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans4 ай бұрын
@@ワシもいろいろやってみる all my forks are 4 inches wide. That works great for my anchor point, and my draw. The ideal width will be different for each person. I adjust the elevation of the frame at full draw to adjust impact point.

Band length question, please, re: band length for face anchor draw: Given, a 28" draw, and finds that the Duraband stretches 4.5:1. If one divides, 28/4.5 = 6.22 This 6.22 plus a little for fork tip and pouch, say a total of 7.25, ends up being too short when drawn. The slingshooter finds that 8.75-9" of the a Duraband, not, 7.25", is the length and power he desires. What's wrong with this picture - how come the math didn't work out? Many thanks!!! Faithful subscriber
@usernamemykel3 ай бұрын
BTW - the above references non-tapered bands - would it mke a difference? Thanks!
@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans3 ай бұрын
My guess is you are using more band on the process of tying than you might think. I run an active length of 6.5 incheson all my bands. But I cut the latex to 8.0 inches. I tie my pouch then measure my 6.5 from the pouch and mark the band with a marker so I know where the front edge of the fork should be. I usually only have a little bit to cut off. I used to shoot straight cuts in the winter and used this same strategy with success. I know that does not answer your mathematical question but it seems to work for me consistently.
@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans3 ай бұрын
Or your latex could have a very low stretch ratio. Some maxes out much faster than others. GZK black hits a "wall" at around 480% stretch. Whereas, sniper sling yellow in the same thickness will stretch well past 600%.
@usernamemykel2 ай бұрын
@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans Mike, which thickness is that ? I use Snipersling yellow in .6
