any further info about the drivers you used? windows / retropie also, judging by the yellow lightning on the upper right corner of the screen I'd say you are not using the proper power supply - but rather, I'd be interested on how much current that thing draws from the system. USB2 limit is 500mA

Ive done all of this but when I plug in the Play and Carge Kit into the controller it wont sync to the module. Im using Windows 10, did you modify the drivers in any way before installing them?

Kyxe Music it’s been a while, but I believe that I had to get the USB drivers from Microsoft for the controllers when I connected the plug and play cord with my controller to the computer. This allowed me to sync the controllers with the wireless modded receiver.

I had the same problem, but I tried using the 2009 drivers instead and that ended up working. In windows 10 when you go into trying to update the drivers in device manager, go into select my own drivers and try using the 2009 drivers instead. That worked out for me

I haven't seen that one, so I'm not sure how it works. I would try the first three pins and if that doesn't work, then try the last three pins. It should be one or the other. Good luck!!

After replying. went and checked out a few videos, the first four(i dont know) number 5=d+ & number 6=d-, then the black wire on any of the two common ground pins & number 12 is the 3.3v power pin. Hope this will be helpful to anyone else.

Oh hey, I know it's been a long time, but how did you sync your controller to the board? I do have a play n charge cable, but even when the controller and the board are connected the controller doesn't sync...

You have to get the software for the pc. It’s free. I just googled it. I don’t remember what it was, as it was so long ago.

Hey dude, I did the steps and plugging it in it comes up with the regular Unrecognized Device, and when I install Xbox 360 Controller for Windows and manually add the driver to the receiver in Device Manager, it gives me an error saying the driver isnt compatible with the device and I should get a driver that is for Windows 64bit, even though I have windows 7 x64. What do I do?

Will controller connect with RF module without Play and Charge Kit?

MirelRc yes, it will. You only need to connect it to the computer initially using the play and charge cable while the RF receiver is connected to pair it. Then it will connect after that without needing the cable.

Without the charge and play cable, the controller won’t be able to connect.

jack zared jr I'm not totally sure if it will work as my xbox I pulled mine from is dead. But I would think it should still work as you are adding on to the receiver, not taking away from it.

I don’t think so, as you have no plug and play option with the cord on the guitar. You can’t plug a cord into it like the controllers.

Not sure, as I used a 5.1v per the instructions I found. I suppose you could try it and see what happens. If it isn’t enough voltage, then it may not work.

Just here for an update..i got diodes.. Close to 5.1v not 5.1v exactly.. And with my sad soldering skills..i could still be able to make it work.. So yeah i successfully did the mod
