Do you think that white rocks instead of black would increase the translucency of the LED lighting, make the separated pavers look like a singular white dance stage, and decrease the visible spacing between the rocks at night? I can see younger family members trying to turn it into a summer Post Covid party!! 🕺 😆 💃

Outdoor smart plugs so you can get “switching” capability. And per code outdoor outlet needs to be GFCI protected. Looks great, I’m gonna have to steal this idea for my own one day.

That’s what I’m saying. I really really love this project but GFCI is seriously a must outdoors.
@EnFuego79
@EnFuego79 2 жыл бұрын
I have never heard of extension chords needing to be GFCI. Attaching a multi-inlet adapter to it does not change the fact that it's nothing more than an extension chord. Code must always submit to logic otherwise it is invalid.
@FAKASHMEAN
@FAKASHMEAN 2 жыл бұрын
@@EnFuego79 it’s not the extension cord that needs to be GFCI. It’s the outdoor receptacle in general that needs to be GFCI protected with “WR” rating (weather resistant).
@EnFuego79
@EnFuego79 2 жыл бұрын
@@FAKASHMEAN By that logic, all multi-inlet extension chords must be GFCI. There is no logic to the argument. The form factor of the inlets is irrelevant. Especially if they have been manually weather-proofed/sealed. The point is, never blindly follow code. Always defer to logic.
@gennessisocasio4221
@gennessisocasio4221 2 жыл бұрын
@@EnFuego79 all outdoor receptacle should be GFCI. The fact that you thought an extension cord is what we were talking about says a lot. Sure, waterproof sealing is done but that’s never 100% either. We talking about outdoor shit here.

the end result looked really good. only 2 things I would've done differently is I would've did a GFCI outlet for anything outdoors to fall in line with electric code and I would've done some type of firepit glass beads to bring out the leds, but even the rocks look good though.

A few steps added as for suggestion. Use led encasements for a way to thread and replace old led when they need to be replaced and the. Pour in clear epoxy over everything or just in the lines and sand smooth. This would further weather proof. (If you live in a rainy area, this could be an issue if you don’t add drainage and have pavers cover large areas). I think I’m going to do a version similar where I paint the pavers with a stencil to look like encaustic tile and the use a thin line of epoxy and led in the “grout lines” and seal it up. Great Video! Gets us creatives something to ponder! 👍
