Just wanted to share a few thoughts... decorating really doesn't come naturally to me but I tried my best with this one! I get lots of you saying that you wish you could be as good as me at decorating and the truth is that you DEFINITELY can be. I have so many fails and spend hours trying to figure out what doesn't feel right! For some people it comes easily but for others (like me) it definitely doesn't. But we can try hard, learn and get better over time! My hope for this video is that you feel inspired to tackle something new ❤️ luv u

PRO TIP: For anyone using contact paper to cover literally whatever it is you’re covering and you do end up with little bubbles (like mentioned in the video) you should One: use an old gift card, or debit card to apply the contact paper and do it in super small sections. Don’t just peel off a giant piece and then place it down. Two: if you still have little bubbles in places take a craft knife (the ones that have the sort of triangular blade) and use the very tip to poke and pin prick size hole so you can then take you the card you used to place down the contact paper and push the air that has been trapped out from the hole. Obviously the smaller the hole the better but if you do end up needing it a bit bigger you should be fine once it smooths out. My dad owns a sign shop where we live so I’ve been applying vinyl for as long as I can remember, so I promise promise promise this trick will work and will save you a ton of heart ache and frustration!!
@sithara79833 жыл бұрын
Thanks for these tricks that you have shared. Mine question is more on the hygiene bit of it. Whether water seems in through the contact paper due to moisture in the air or how to actually clean it properly

Turned out really well. As a landlord, I think I would want to keep it looking that way. It looks like the landlord paid for a nice upgrade instead of the update being down on the cheap. Shows how an upgrade doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. While I liked the floor and countertop hacks, my favorite was the wood contact paper on sink cabinet. Looks much higher end than the original budget cabinet.

I just don’t see how this is “renter” friendly? My apartment complex wouldn’t let me paint and put new fixers. Definitely not shelves. How are you going to make the bathroom back to before? I feel like “rental friendly” is a misleading title for those of us who want help with out rentals. Although what you did was beautiful.
@ranititha3 жыл бұрын
Fact!
@HaileyFaulkner3 жыл бұрын
Everything she did can easily be undone! When she moves out she’ll remove the shelves and the new hardware/fixtures she added, fill holes in, and paint it the color it was before. Then she’ll put back the original hardware/fixtures, remove all of the contact paper, and no damage will be done. Just sharing because I’ve done all of these things in my rentals and I’ve always gotten my security deposit back! If your rental won’t let you paint or add holes to the walls, you’ll have to get creative with command strips. You could always do all of these contact paper tricks though.
