YES! I vote for the redemption round! I would love to see how you solve for an overly heavy table. Do you fill the form with a smaller form, and leave it hollow on the inside somehow? Do you fill the form with plastic balls? Do you use foamcrete? Do you make it out of a lighter material and apply a skim coat of concrete? I would love to see what you come up with. Do you put up surveys and let your fans decide? If you're ever short of video ideas, that would be fascinating!

I think this is something missing in the DIY space, the audience always gets to see the beautiful product but i am very interested in how it’s working in real life and if the creator would do it differently or replace it completely 😊

As the mother of 3, I had children for purely selfish reasons -- I wanted children! But if someone doesn't feel that selfish desire for children, they should *not* have them. There's nothing innately good about having children or bad about not having them. (I'm glad I had and have my children but it's a purely personal choice).
@TheImanuelita
@TheImanuelita 6 ай бұрын
@@TamarLitvot I was the same too. So much so that I divorced my first husband because he ended up not wanting any when he knew full well that I wanted kids and told me before we got married that he was onboard. 15 years later and I now have a loving husband with 2 beautiful boys ❤ Life is definitely more hectic but I am loving it. I learned that sometimes WANT can exceed NEED. Nobody needs to have children if they don't have them but the want once you have them can turn into need for sure!

2022 was hard for so many, I sometimes wonder if the “rebound” from Covid was like opening up Pandora’s box emotionally/professionally/family dynamics for many of us. You had a lot of other wrenches lobbed at you, too, so thank you for being so real. I know it helped me through a lot, a reminder that those I admire are human like the rest of us. My wife and I have been subscribed since your earliest days on KZbin, and I’m a happy “early adopter” on your Patreon. We are about to embark on our first “real home” and have several of your content pieces tagged as inspo. If you ever do consults, we would gladly pay for your expertise! We always like to seek out young, dynamic, self-made creatives as a source of both inspiration and joy. You’re doing great things, the sky is the limit!

As a Special Education teacher for decades I appreciate your comments about dyslexia. Students who have difficulty learning to read or do math due to a learning disability always feel that they are stupid. I always tell my students that part of the diagnosis for a learning disability, like dyslexia, is that the person must have average or above intelligence. Another interesting thing I have noticed is the number of my students who have exceptional artistic skills and have gone into the arts professionally. The way their brain sees the world and images is gifted, not disabled.

Regarding books & belts, I had thought you were just going to originally put the belts around book groupings. I was shocked when I saw you put it around the books and the bench. Personally, I think putting the belts just around groups of books would be more reminiscing of ages ago, and maybe how people might carry books. I don’t know, that’s just the vibe I get when I think about it. Of course, you just do you Danie! 😊 Lastly, regarding your Wonder, Woman mounted arms with Lasso in your office, I still think those arms need 1970’s Wonder Woman bracelets on them (either from the World War II early version, or the later up-to-date 1970s version).

Gotta give you the rest of the quote courtesy of Law and Lumber (I am a law nerd). It goes “Jack of all trades but master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” I love the entire quote because I am a dabbler in many things and it makes my heart happy that it’s “oftentimes better” rather than “you can’t focus” 😂 Just found your channel last month in my recommended and I subbed immediately because you and this community are definitely my tribe! Edit: BTW, Rob (@LawandLumber) is a lawyer who covers court cases and is also an AMAZING woodworker! He live streams on Friday nights and last night we spent 3 hours going over the Kim Kardashian lawsuit. She is being sued by a foundation for Donald Judd who was a furniture maker in the sixties whose (very rectangular table and chairs called La Manasa and Chair 84 go for $180,000 for getting a knockoff made and presenting it as authentic. On video. However, the whole backstory of this very ugly furniture as “iconic art” is hysterical as they are seriously trying to say he invented this table and chairs that seriously look like 9th grade shop class. It was a great time!

It is necessary to tell you that pottery is addictive, consuming, fascinating, frustrating, calming, focusing, Zen, and fulfilling. The smartest dog I've ever had, looked like a long haired Shepherd, solid black. You answered so many questions in a variety of topics, great coverage. Nicely done! I like this style of Q & A - where questions are gathered and organized prior to filming answers. I absolutely hate the Q & A's where you watch someone stare at a screen while scrolling looking for a question. I find those very boring and don't watch. Excited to watch the progress of the garage and upper studio. And, super kudos to the viewer that sent in the 3-D suggestions. Awesome!

Thank you so much for sharing so honestly and openly Danie. That was just about the best Q and A I've ever been honoured to watch and listen to. You are so generous with your ideas and experience and even at my advanced age of 79 (a month ago) and a life of arts, crafts and diy exploits of my own I've learned so much from you. I look forward to your videos and I'm always intrigued by the question of what will Danie create this time? Much love from a woman after your own heart, a retired librarian and reader. Keep on enjoying your reading journey of fantasy worlds, and never put yourself down. You're a special and valuable woman. 🤗💖

Of course you have an editor that’s a comedian!! Your videos are so damn funny and I love this getting to know you video!! Your book recommendations are what I needed! When you said you wish you could have a pet dragon?? Girl same! That’s why I have a bird…kinda close right 😂 I’m definitely checking some of those out. I love reading fantasy! ❤ Also check out that Dune 2 soundtrack!! If you’re a soundtrack gal, you’re gonna love that

I first discovered Danie through Alexandra. Over time, I didn’t enjoy AG and her style and very much gravitated towards Danie. I also wondered why there weren’t more collabs, but honestly I’m not the biggest fan of AG

I have a confession to make. I subscribed to you by mistake. My fingers slipped on the phone and I didn't even notice I had subscribed until days later when you turned up in my feed. Well, I thought, might as well check a few videos out then before I unsubscribe again... That was years ago now and suffice it to say, I never unsubscribed. Best "mistake" I ever made 🙂 I'm looking forward to everything that is to come, and thanks for years of fun and inspiration.

The Shepherd King Duology!! (One Dark Window)…is stunning. Literally goggles them up and was so good. Mainly because I haven’t read the Caraval trilogy yet and it’s still on my TBR too. Lol.

Loved this! You are the sweetest person! Thank you for sharing. You are so gifted in inspiring others and I'm so blessed to be able to know someone like you even if I don't "really" know you. When you started crying I started crying. I lost my emotional support animal last October. She was a stunningly gorgeous black cat named Catterina and she was my best friend. I work from home and we were always together. Her passing was unexpected & hit my husband & I hard. She always stayed next to me while I worked. When my anxiety would spike she just knew when I needed her and would be in my face, purring and making me pet her. I never went anywhere in the house alone. Suddenly my best friend was gone and I was alone and on my own. EVERYTHING reminded me of her. Loss like that is incredibly painful. I know your loss is different however loss is loss. And we all just grieve and get through it. It's so incredibly painful though. I'm happy to say that my husband and I have rescued two black kitties. They're boys and it's a very different vibe with them in the house. Not bad, just different. And while I no longer have my shadow I do have two beautiful boys who check up on me throughout the day. They kind of tag team when my stress is high. It's amazing, really. It's helped heal a very broken heart so quickly. I miss my best friend so much. However I'm getting used to the new normal & I remind myself I'm so fortunate Catterina was in my life. I really hope this year is amazing for you and that, like me, you can find ways to enjoy your new normal. 💖

Have you heard of Jill Bearup? (I would be so surprised if you haven’t!) She’s a… I forget the name… actor that knows sword fighting? But she has a KZbin channel where she analyzes media fight scenes. She also had a tik tok/shorts series where she played an author and the heroine of her own novel. Then Jill wrote a book of the series. It’s called just stab me now. I highly recommend it!

So surprised to learn you're dyslexic. As a viewer wanting to delve into DIYs and have been making renovations to my home, I watch how thorough you are Dani and assumed this stuff came easy to you. (It does NOT come easy to me lol) It's really inspiring to hear you say it's about finding ways to learn that work for you because I too struggle a bit with math and science.

Dear Danie, I have been subscribed for many years but this episode was the best EVER !! I felt a bonding with you, a peacefulness and a deeper glimpse into your being. I know, I know, it sounds a bit dramatic but it just felt like a more simplified you. I loved it. You had a lovely, soft peaceful aura about you. And you are a very beautiful soul, in my opinion. Thank you for sharing some very personal subjects, knowledge and experiences in an inspiring way. Stay beautiful and kind and peaceful.

I just want to say how much I've enjoyed your videos over the years. You are the first DIYer that I watched who's absolutely fearless with her power tools. I grew up in a generation where girls didn't use power tools. I confess I run a pretty mean chainsaw but that was unusual. Your creative spirit and your ability to make it happen is inspiring and very entertaining. Keep up the great work I hope it always continues to feed your soul. Thank you!
