Ah yes, the man behind the reason I can't just listen to Danie in the background- his edits are too good to miss! I watch things like this to decompress, and he ALWAYS manages to make me laugh, not to mention making the entire video smooth as silk for audio/visual transitions and such. Awesome that you were able to give him a desk upgrade while still keeping the things he liked about his previous one. I had some concerns about the lightning bolt idea but they were apparently unfounded since you completely blew it out of the park. You joked about him revisiting Barcelona with all the money he makes from editing, but for real, idk what you're paying him, but if anyone deserves a raise it's him (budget-permitting). He does incredible work, is highly skilled, and can take those skills anywhere, but he chooses to stay here with you. Cool that he got a beautiful desk and free artwork out of it, but cash is king! I hope you're able to pay him what he's worth!

A fantastic desk! The top is gorgeous and not just for a desk. I can imagine having one like this as a coffee table or a small kitchen table. The pours were such a pleasure to watch - felt like looking into a deep still pool of water. Very soothing. Glad to see you using those new welding skills. If you had worn the other welding helmet, the sparks would have made it clear that it was a dragon head, not an alligator or dinosaur!

I didn't realize that you could pour epoxy in stages. I thought it was all at one time. I think I would try this epoxy pour on something much smaller to begin with that way my mistakes would be minimal also. The torch...getting out the bubbles is a little intimadating. Congrats Dan. For your patreons, do you ever go over the initial process of projects - like for this one, did you do any test pours of the black to see if the over coat would dull it or how much sanding you'd have to do before it got shiny again, etc.? I know you make everything seem so fluid & planned out but I know there's got to be a lot of forethought & testing before any project begins.
