According to the video, a homeowner called a technician because his air conditioner wasn't turning on. The technician, who runs a KZbin channel WW HVAC, diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse and a bad contactor. The technician replaced the fuse and contactor, and then fixed a wiring mistake he made while replacing the contactor.
The video includes troubleshooting steps, which might be helpful to viewers who are interested in DIY repair. However, the video also shows that there can be risks involved in DIY repair, and it is important to know your limits and call a professional when necessary.

Walter you the best hvac contractor I have ever seen. Honestly. Recently had a customer who had me come out to check his condenser unit for a short.He followed me everywhere I went.Sometime it’s not worth the hassle or money so I left.Two days later he called me and said he purchased a condenser unit from Walmart and asked me to install it and I started laughing. I asked him why Walmart didn’t install it. People are nuts.When did Walmart start selling hvac units.????.You get what you pay for.Hell no you install it and hung up on him.😮😮😮

I dont install customer supplied equipment either, and I agree that sometimes it's not worth it dealing with certain customers. Thanks for the compliment! 🤣

It's funny how you said "keep your composure" and actually had to put that into practice for the rest of the video. Most people don't realize that whatever you learn and then execute on it when the time comes that it really works. Well handled.

When I have a helicopter hubbering over me I put them to work send them out to the condenser to see if it’s working a couple of times then to the thermostat a few times and maybe to the truck for a filter or two by then I’m done and he is tired lol

Props for handling the customer like you did, I rarely get the over the shoulder quarterbacks, I think maybe because I'm a bit intimidating and I use vocabulary they have no idea what I'm saying. When I have those watching me that have bugged me I say stuff like need you to stand back live voltage and I don't want you to get hurt. Props to you bro, SUPER envious of your Van, I wish I had the utility bin sides and taller rooftop.

Lol, if you noticed in the video, when I mentioned to him that he could ask if he needed anything, I was referring to any questions about my maintenance package. But his response was, 'I'm going in the attic with you.' He said, 'What do you mean?'

Hey man I'm an hvac contractor in southern Houston, are you as slow as we are this year? Just curious. Last year was awesome but this year has been a bust so far 🤷‍♂️
@WWHVAC
@WWHVAC 6 ай бұрын
It sounds like you're experiencing a slowdown this year compared to last. The HVAC industry can be quite seasonal and also influenced by various factors, including economic conditions, weather patterns, and consumer spending habits. It's not uncommon for businesses in the same region to experience fluctuations in workload. However, there are a few strategies you could consider to help navigate through slower periods: Diversification: Look into expanding your services to include maintenance contracts, energy efficiency assessments, or smart home HVAC system installations, which could attract a different customer base. Marketing: Revise your marketing strategy to increase your visibility. This could involve optimizing your website for search engines, engaging with customers on social media, or offering promotions to encourage referrals. Networking: Connect with other contractors, real estate agents, and builders in your area to explore partnership opportunities. They might be able to refer clients to you when their customers need HVAC services. Training: Use the slower period as an opportunity to invest in training for yourself and your team. Learning new technologies or gaining certifications can make your services more attractive to potential clients.
