Don't you just love those calls where things "seem" to be simple... and before you know it, you're spending an entire day making a repair! Awesome video, as always bro!

I've always worked facilities type work for big companies, while walking thru customers houses I point out electrical/plumbing issues besides a/c and it brings in good money, sometimes I do more plumbing than a/c but still always keep my TACLA up to date in So TX.

Good job . Great explanation. Pray I become thorough like this. Also interacting with the customers is genuine. Notes taken.

If they got old gate valves on the outside spigot, cya and make sure they tell you it works ok and that you can use it. Good way to get yourself into a bind. Useful to know plumbing though in a pinch like that

That's for sure. I better start asking and maybe let them turn the water on/off.

I smacked my head on some CPVC under a sink and got full-on cold down my neck as it snapped. I had to run down to cellar to get main off. I'd much rather have a sore head from copper! Always use another wrench to counteract your turning force. Great point by other commenter to ask if spigot OK to use. Burden then goes to homeowner.

Sometimes you get lucky when the service person is someone you know because somebody would have sold her a new ac unit, a new furnace along with a plumber redesigning the plumbing in the garage, her maintenance plan has already paid for itself with what you did.

One of our installed was working where a furnace and water heater is in a tight space next to each other. You had to get past the water heater to get to the furnace and put a little weight on the water heater than the cpvc above the water heater broke and flooded the second floor because the home didn’t have a water shut off inside the home
@WWHVAC

Dang it... We need to be on high alert around that CPVC. Thanks for sharing; that will make me pay closer attention.

Cypress I use to live out there off the 290 years ago. 16:38 that reminds me of a system Ive seen used by dial one Help! in New Orleans called the Casey which was a Hvac system performance monitoring system. They started using those back around 1998, of course their was no wifi and it had to be hardwired into the phoneline

WoW HVAC monitoring system hardwired to phone lines in the 90s. I wonder what companies got the call to come out to service the unit when they dailed one for help ....This one can be hardwired with ethernet or wireless Wi-Fi
