DIYers Guide to Re-Keying with a Kwikset Exterior LOCK
After converting a basement garage door into an exterior door and window for a basement bedroom, I installed a Kwikset Exterior Knob, and used the “Smart Key” to set all of the locks in my home to the new key. This video will show you how to install a doorknob yourself, along with easy instructions for how to re-key any Kwikset lock.
I’m finishing the basement in our 40 year old home, and videoing each step along the way in a future bedroom. I am NOT a pro - I'm just a self-sufficient DIYer and Weekend Warrior.
