Octo posts from Sweden come with a 25 year guarantee, we’ve started using them, so only time will tell Yes they’re more expensive but if you consider the time and cost of replacing quick grown tantalised wood it’s more cost effective

I've got a price comparison coming but from memory they were cheaper than creo or chestnut and the hope is they will outlast both. Certainly more 'rustic' looking though.

Thanks for this. We need to refence about 500m mext year not a lot compaired to some but we are only a small small holding and been looking for oter options to trated. What lenth of fencing did the order cover.

Will be around 2km. Could go quite a bit further if spacing at 4m so depends on stock and what wire.

Yes we may share a bit more when we have finished it all. We didn’t know what was available until we’ll after we had started so it’s a shame we missed out on some bits. Still a costly exercise but certainly softens the blow!

There are grants like css or fipl but they are done on a £/meters it certainly won't cover the cost, especially if you need contractors in for equipment. Fencing is just so expensive especially as you might have to consider re doing it every 10 15 years. Can you revisit in 10 years see how the posts look :)

What's the distance between 2 posts?

Depends really, if you are railing then 1.8m but high tensile can be up to 5m I think. We have had 3m in most places however I may open that up a bit more along hedges. Sheep are easier on the fences than goats and cows so guess it varies from farm to farm.

Thankfully not. Must have been able to manage with the smaller bed otherwise we would have never got it to the top entrance. 👍
