I fully appreciate it’s not easy at the moment but thank you for putting the effort in and producing these farm vlogs. Thank you both and your family for another great year. Looking forward to farm life 2025

Leave the cubicle as it is put a chain from the wall to the back of the cubicle and come in from the back with the milking clusters bit safer 👍

Boy, she wasn’t long dropping the hay for the feed. She knows the “good stuff”. She’s in a cozy spot to have her calf.

Always interesting to see what you're up to, just out of curiosity have you ever come across OKO off road tyre sealant, I've put it in my baby tractor and ride on mower and I've not had a puncture since. It might be of use to some of your vehicles.

Yaaay you got the little tractor running! I wonder if you could just get a comedically large toilet w cistern cheaper than a trough lol

I've done a lot of those tyre repairs. The glue is a good lubricant, and blow the tyre up if you can, working against an inflated tyre is far easier.

Dull batteries? Turn on the ignition, (not starting) and the headlights for 2 minutes. This warms the electrical circuit which allows the starter sequence to run more efficiently. It does not drain the batteries in the way one might expect.

Tim. I often wonder why water and utility companies do not lay a roll of coloured plastic over the top of their pipes, such that when looking for buried pipes and conduits the digger exposes the plastic first, just tearing a bit of sheeting, before puncturing costly ground works. 😉

Would certainly do that on the domestic pipes and obviously cables however when pulling it through with a tractor you dont get the open trench to do that. I have also laid a tracer wire next to the pipe to help detection but that was more for under driveways.

Thanks for the content, what busy days you all have ….makes me tired watching it and a bit guilty my small workshop is a tip !! Q how big a rat problem do you have on the farm…..would you trap/shoot them or does Maggie dispatch any ?

On the cow milking pen why not just do old style, …. I.e. ust a head hold made from wood and that’s it. A cow after a few runs won’t move from side to side, especially an older cow and you give her some feed. My Grandmother (by hand) and my dad milked like this for years…
