The large natural stones were indeed beautiful, but I felt like the small mountain stones around the border would not only help stabilize the area but also keep the rain water away. These plants will only be there temporarily until I can get containers. There are very hardy. Two of them endured dry season whilst I was away but they were in the shade.

🇯🇲 If available, you might want to try the Texas Sage. It is very hardy, excellent in drought after being established, easily propagated, blooms little lilac coloured flowers, excellent edging (low or medium and can be shaped nicely (round, square, with a peak...). Does well with the duranta. I hope you enjoy the fruits from your Tuna (what Jamaicans call it) cactus. I wish you both all the very best. I is beautiful. I can just imagine what it will be like.... blessings
