I loved every second of this. I'm almost done making over my bedroom. I thought I was too lazy or not skilled enough to do DIY but was forced to when faced with expensive quotes from painters. My paint job went great and that inspired me to do more. Even something as simple as spray painting my metal wire trash can puts a personal touch to my room. This video definitely inspired me.

I love that you took the time to take care of every detail and research the wide range of sofa options and other notable things before choosing the first one you came across. I remember that, when we were evaluating sofa options, we were between a very standard model and a Ducaroy sofa. In the end, we ended up choosing an LC3 Sofa from Manhattan Home Design, because we decided that leather was more convenient for a number of reasons. Renovating and decorating indoors can be a somewhat stressful process, but in the end it's more fascinating than anything else.

Good job! This is the 1st of your videos I have seen. In particular, I think your pillow selection is terrific. Am also impressed with your fearless embrace of carpentry tools. In case people don't know, elevating plants from the floor is important but they still need a saucer to collect water unless you are using a pot with drainage inside a pot with none. Plants should be thoroughly watered then allowed to dry out somewhat.

Command strips are great. I’ve used them for years and they come off perfectly if removing in the right way
@elizabethsullivan18944 жыл бұрын
As a property manager, you're probably better off using nails vs. Command Strips. After about a year, Command Strip adhesive tends to sink into the drywall and usually tears it when removing, even if you're careful. We usually tell our tenants to use small nails instead as the holes are generally easier and less expensive to patch. (Doing a quick dab of plaster in a hole and touchup paint is faster than having to do a whole patch where the drywall tore off.)

Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful! We wanted to buy as well, but it wasn't attainable for us right now, so renting worked well for us! Ha, being bratty and hangry does cloud ones judgements and confession, it's my first time coming across one of your vids, so not being familiar with your work, or channel, I gotta say I'm a bit bummed to know that you made most of what I'm seriously crushing on. The bookshelf and your diy wooden artwork in the thumbnail caught my eye real quick and had me curious about possible links, but I am nowhere near being that talented enough to attempt trying to recreate them for myself. Fortunately, furniture pieces aside, I am sooooo drawn to your overall earth tone combo. I think that's what pulled me in the most and that, maybe I can duplicate and recreate. So many ideas from that and the smaller, yet detailed things you did helps with a few ideals and greater options. Props to the youtube algorithms for the introduction, I can now checkout all of your other vids I've missed. Congrats on your talents and thanks for posting.

I once lived in an apartment with the same layout issue in the living room. My mom suggested putting the couch in the middle of the room just like that instead of against a wall and it felt so weird. I hated it at first and thought it was so strange. But then I put things in perspective. I was lucky enough to have a home and if living room layout was my biggest problem, I was blessed. So I eventually got used to it and honestly it grew on me. Now, more than 15 years later I have noticed several houses of friends and family that have couches positioned like this.
